Beware of poor quality tacks if installing on a wooden door frame.

The most disappointing part of this product with only the installation to review at this time is the "thumb tacks" or "tacks". In my opinion they are of very poor quality. I am better that most with a hammer. But, even with extreme care and precision, many of them would not go in straight and it was difficult to get them to penetrate the "wooden" door frame without bending or breaking. Many door frames are composite wood these days and if there are a few coats of "outside" paint these poor quality tacks are just about useless. Since they wouldn't hammer in straight the head of the tack would break off and I would have to use pliers to pull out the tip. They give you plenty of them, if they didn't bend or break, to do the installation. I will go buy more just so I can fill in the gaps. My other concern as this time is the "keeps the bugs out" feature. With a 1/4 inch gap needed at the bottom and no magnets/weights to anchor the hem, then I am concerned that the screen will not keep mosquitoes out. I consider mosquitoes to be bugs. Maybe I should have researched this better before purchasing"¦ maybe the screen will live up the this feature. I hope so now that the installation is done

This is the second Flux-Phenom I have installed on my front door. I accidentally tore the first one (my carelessness, not a fault of the screen) so this time I installed the heavier duty one. Works perfectly! Closes well, withstands the wind and keeps insects where they belong"¦ outside. I installed it to hang about 1/4" off the ground and it sags a bit so it actually touches bottom a bit"¦ all the better to keep the bugs at bay. It is much better than the original version with stronger magnets and the fiberglass mesh. Highly recommend this screen.

This screen has worked amazingly so far. We use it all the time and the animals certainly love it. It functions really well with the magnet stip and comes together nicely. My only complaint is the push pins provided for food frames are weak and don't last. I've had my screen up for about 2 months now and 5 have broke or come out. It's an easy fix with little nails, but may be beneficial for the company to simply provide small nails in the first place instead of the push pin things. Other than that I'm a huge fan and it seems to be super durable with the amount of use it gets daily.

We live in an apartment that has a balcony outside but didn't like the fact that we would have to leave the door open for our German Shepherd to lay outside allowing bugs to come in. We installed this screen/netting and have loved having it up since! It's a great way to let fresh air in while saving on the energy bill, and also allows our shepherd to go out/in freely! The magnets built into the screen are actually really solid and hold together well while still being easy enough for my shepherd to walk through. The installation is pretty straight forward and you can use the sticky tape or the tacks provided to install it.

I was able to install it in abut 15 minutes. I made adjustments when installing it "higher" up my wall to avoid floor sag and gaps. I'm in Southwest Georgia, so gnats, misquitoes, flies, moths, and the occasional curious frog can be an issue when you're outdoors. I'll be able to enjoy my Shed Office with door open this Fall and next Spring.
