We like trying new candies from other countries and we like ginger, so we thought this might be a good one to try. The flavor is nice, mildly ginger, fairly sweet. The candies are a chewy candy, but they start hard. They take a while to soften enough to chew and they really stick to your teeth while chewing. I thought it might pull out one of my fillings. Overall, my family enjoyed the flavor and sweetness level, but everyone found them hard to chew. The unusual shapes make it hard to suck on them so you end up with the options to suck on an odd shape that doesn't feel nice to suck on or to chew something that's hard and sticky.

This South Korean taffy contains only two ingredients -- grain syrup and taffy. That's it. Short and sweet and somewhat healthy for you. It is a hard taffy so be careful when trying to chew it. I let it dissolve a bit like a hard candy before doing any chewing. I live in Florida so my product arrived a bit melted. You can harden them up by putting them in the fridge and they aren't too hard to pry from the wrappers.

I personally prefer a bit more of a ginger bite, but I have to say that these are pretty tasty. If you've ever had Mary Jane candies, the texture is a bit like that. They are also not too sweet with six candies having only about 12 grams of sugar. I'd get them again.

Not really a taffy as I think of taffy. Some of the candies are stuck to the wrapping and too hard to open to eat.
Once I did get one open I didn't expect it to be as hard as it was.
A very slight maybe like a maple type flavor? Then the slight ginger taste.
Once it softened a bit I was able to chew it more. That's when I got the stronger ginger taste. A little too strong for me.
Those who love the taste of ginger will really enjoy this candy.

The media could not be loaded. When you get a candy with the name of the flavor on the description you expect to get that flavor but in this case you don't. Well at least you get a very light flavor of it but I was expecting something better. Don't get me wrong, the candy taste nice but the principal flavor is not ginger. Is solid like a caramel candy and it will be getting softer when is in your mouth. Don't even try to chew it because your tooth will suffer lol.

So this is like a mixture of traditional asian malt candy and ginger flavor. It has a very sticky texture and can be hard to chew which does remind me of those traditional malt candy when I was little. The ginger flavor might be too mild for most people who is specifically looking for ginger taffy like my husband. This could be a little disappointing for them but I do love this mild and not too sweet flavor! My only complaint is the bad quality control. These are supposed to be individually wrapped but some stick together and I do found one empty. Also, due to the inconsistency of the candy shape, some might be sharp. So be careful when you chew. Worth a try!
