Opthomologists recommend hypochlorous acid to people like me with dry eyes to use as an eyelid cleanser. I've been cleaning eyelids of my very sensitive eyes for years, using brands made specifically for eyes.
This is the same formula and strength as the eyelid cleanser type. I got it after watching Doctorly episodes in which the two dermotologists talked about how useful and well tolerated this is as an antibacterial skin cleanser for all sorts of skin problems anywhere on the body.
I haven't tried it on my eyes yet (it may be a bit less pure than products made for eyelids. So far I've used it to kill bacteria under my arms before and after bathing (keeps me odor free longer). I'm sure I'll find other uses for it too.
Supposed to be great for cuts, abrasions, acne.
