We got 2 hooks. My husband had a knee replacement and isn't as quick jumping to the dock as usual. Even with a bit of wind we can easily grab the cleat or dock and steady the boat for a quick, easy hop to the dock. My hook easily reaches the dock from the captains seat. These are terrific! And I haven't even tried grabbing a floating hat yet.
