My husband needed these for the A-frame greenhouse he was building. The ones sold at Home Depot were expensive, so we were glad when we found these on Amazon. The brackets came with the hardware and were easy to install. Our house is situated on a hilltop and it's always windy; these brackets are very sturdy, and the greenhouse is withstanding the constant barrage of wind.

Worked out quite well. Overall construction is sturdy enough to withstand recent 60mph storms without any issues.
Getting the wood into the bracket could prove to be a challenge. I had to shave some wood down in order to fit the wood inside the brackets. Canopy hooks/ears were super convenient for attachment of the canopie (also from Amazon).
1.5 months in with this pergola and very happy.
Def recommend as an alternative to the kits sold at major hardware stores.
