I have two much more expensive models, but this one comes so easily in and out of back seat or trunk. Light enough I can fo it myself. No need for ramps, or lifts attached to car. Charges lase a good length of time and it plugs into standard outlet or car outlet. I use it daily and even Dr was impressed. The only negative I can say in my insurance would not reimburse me and I cannot say why as they did the models cost 4 and 5 times as much. This was cheaper than buying a new battery for one of the other chairs. I have told so many where I got it when they ask"¦.haha. Might deserve commission as a snowbird lots of people comment. Oh yes, works great at tables in restaurants! I will get my picture taken in it and be sure Amazon posts it
Very lightweight!

I need portable oxygen tanks everywhere that I go (pic #2). Got the special carrying attachment for the tanks from Amazon as well. This wheelchair hauls them and me quite well! Because the tanks weigh so much, my husband put larger wheels (pic #3) on the tip prevention accessories behind the rear wheels (purchased from Toro). I also added side pouches for carrying all of those things that women need (Pic #1). To transport it, we take the tanks off, fold the W.C and my 84 year old hubby has no problem lifting it into the trunk of the car or up into the truck! I can lift it as well!! It backs, spins to turn around and goes forward beautifully. I've even used it in the house on carpeting. If I bump the speed to max, it will outrun my husband's Scooter. I just love it and would recommend it to everyone! Thank you to MOdest for making & selling such a great electric wheelchair!!

This chair weighs about 35 lbs and battery about 5. Easy to fit in trunk or backseat and pretty zippy on smooth ground.
Excellent customer service

I purchased this chair for my husband early last year and he was very happy with it. The joystick quit working about 10 months after purchase. I contacted Rubicon as it was still under warranty, and after returning the chair, they sent me a brand new replacement!
We are very satisfied. Great customer support !
Thanks!
Yes, very usable for flight travel.

Noted, one of the reviewers stated that this wheelchair may "not" be acceptable to fly with. This is definitely NOT the case. Recently I used it to fly to and from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania (from Portland Oregon) and found it to be a wonderful experience. The comfort of the "cushion" is lacking and I suggest you buy a better one, however, you'd have to pack it, most likely. To set the scene, I had a backpack (comfort flying carry-on) and a large four-wheel suitcase (Aluminum Ramowa) combined with the wheelchair. By holding the suitcase next to the wheelchair with my left hand and operating the chair with my right hand I was able to Simi-easily move comfortably from the curb to the Delta check-in counter. The check-in counter had to fill out an attachable form and "pink" tag to the chair, a requirement that was completed only ONCE during the flights. (the flights included plane changes in both directions). Once my bag was checked, it was just me, my wheelchair and the backpack I carried in my lap.
I was treated very nicely by the airlines and airport staff at all airports. I am a Vietnam Veteran and wore my Veteran cap.
Getting through Security was easy (I can stand and thus pass through the scanners and the chair was checked separately. The Chair had a hefty speed usually faster than the crowds walked. Arriving at the gate would get the ticketing agents attention without saying anything and they would check for the proper tag and ask if I can walk to me seat (I could). I boarded all flights during the "anyone needing assistance" or before if directed. The chair handle exceptionally well going down and even going up on arrivals, not an issue. At the door to the Airplane I would get out of the chair, remove the controller and drop in in-between the seat as I folded the chair. It would be treated as any baby stroller with no damage on any leg of the journeys. I DID NOT remove the batter (which was a surprise as all online videos showed them removing the battery. The battery was compatible with the airlines.) Upon arrival airports I would find the wheelchair waiting at the plane door and off I'd go up the ramp and on to the destination via cab or to find the connecting flight. If anything, the wheelchair made it more of a VIP experience rather than a burden. At the final destinations, I would get some "strong" passenger to help get my suitcase off the conveyer belt, put my left hand on it, pull it tight to the left side of the chair with the four wheels on the bottom, and off I'd go.
In conclusion: The airlines had concerns until you helped them complete the form. The battery information is on a plate on the battery. I DO HIGHLY SUGGEST you print a copy of the specs here from the Amazon ad, i.e.: the dimensions, for the airline staff to fill out the needed forms to attach via zip tie to your wheelchair. I fly Alaska Air next week and found it okay but different, will review that experience soon.
