Great build quality.
Sounds perfect for movies. The 360 experience and wireless feature is great if you do not want to run wires across the hall. Connects automatically. Has features to customize the projection of the sound based on your seating. Uses eArc
Good purchase and would definitely recommend.

I moved from Nakamichi 9.2.4 to this system. The initial setup took a little while and I did faced audio dropouts occasionally, but after the firmware update it worked perfectly.
A far more superior system than Nakamichi in all aspects. Indeed makes your room a cinema hall. Watching movies or listening to music has become a charm after the purchase, the sound does moves around you , though the height channels availability varies by the content and room dimensions. I have a big 30 by 30 basement and it fills every corner of it with clear and crisp audio. If you are looking for a hi-fi audio system and dont want to spend extra money in Atmos by doing in wall wiring, this is definitely a recommended alternative

This is the coolest home speaker theatre in a box type solution that I've seen to date. We didn't have a lot of room in our living room for an audio system. We also don't have any wiring for surround sound so I wanted to go with a wireless option. First off, I highly recommend also buying the SW5 sub-woofer for these. You really need that low end to round out the sound. Setup was super simple, I just plugged everything in including the sub then attached the little controller box that comes with these to the tv via the HDMI ARC port and powered it on. All of the speakers including the sub connected automatically which was great. While I was testing these I noticed speakers occasionally losing their connection and dropping out like some people have mentioned in other reviews. There was a little note that came with the speakers which mentioned going to Speaker Settings -> Wireless Speaker Settings -> Wireless Playback Quality and changing from "Sound Quality" to "Connection". After doing that I had no drop-offs at all and the quality of the sound wasn't reduced by any noticeable degree, it still sounds amazing. I also found that I had to reposition a couple of the speakers by a few inches to improve their reception, but other than that it all worked great. Once you have the speakers positioned the way you want them you just run through the automated sound calibration (make sure the room is quiet while doing this) and then you're ready to go. The phantom center speaker does work suprisingly well, however I've been using my 77" Sony A80J TV as the center speaker. If you're looking for the absolute best out of the box home audio experience for your tv and you're willing to spend the money I highly recommend these.
works

I was very skeptical on this system but I didn't want to run wires or deal with charging wireless speakers.
I had outlets right where the speaker would be placed so that already was worked out.
Setup:
Easy peasy they setup themselves practically
And linked right away.
Ran the calibration and boom welcome to spatial sound
Speakers:
Well constructed I don't mind the color tho some may wish it came in black. They all syncd with no issue. Also I have not experienced any drop outs.
Keep in mind having a wireless router near these can cause issues I'd suggest moving it out of the area to another room.
Sound:
I have to say these thing do as advertised.
Sony has always been a top tier brand and this is a reminder why.
This witchcraft of audio is truly revolutionary.
Now with that said no it's not going to be as loud as a home theatre but if you dont want to run wires and deal with that nonsense this is for you.
I've never had to go above 50 it's plenty loud.
As far as configuration my room is odd and have the tv in the corner so the speakers are also at corners and let me tell you it still does the spatial and atmos thing beautifully.
I will advise you should get the subwoofer I opted for the sw5 and it shakes the house amazing .
Highs and mids are covered very well.
Streaming:
You can stream to the device (hta9)
With Spotify or Amazon music sounds awesome
Especially if you do some spatial sound music
Listening to music is def an experience with the "special effects"
Cost:
This is expensive yes I got this during a sale subwoofer and hta9 for 1800 which wasn't bad in hindsight for how the system sounds.
Is it worth it over a sound bar. Yes!
I'd pick this system over any soundbar.
Cons:
Pass through of vrr is not supported yet
Not really a deal breaker as I would only use arc connection and have hdmi straight to the tv.
Overall:
Very nice top quality home theatre system.
Atmos and spatial sound are awesome.
Get it and forget about the money
