I bought this for a 9 month old, 64lb Doberman puppy. I attached it onto my greenhouse so I could work inside and she could go out to potty without worry off her running off.
PROS - It looks really nice and the panels are sturdy. It is easy to assemble.
CONS - If you're using it to add to a building, you'll need to stake straight runs with fencing posts. (The kind you pound in.) That is for big dogs who can knock it over. In a circle, it will probably be ok, but if you have a really strong dog like a Dobie, Rottie, etc...you'll need to beef it up. Also, the gate latches are TERRIBLE. You have to use both hands to flip them up to unlatch. My husband had to weld a piece of rod so both could be lifted up at that same time with one hand. Trust me, when juggling a puppy on a leash and plants, that's very necessary. Even without a puppy, it's annoying and a really bad design.
Other than that, it's a good fence and I don't see my Dobie knocking it over. I will probably buy more panels because 16 wasn't enough space for her.

PROs: Rugged construction yet very portable; easy to assemble; separate panels makes it configurable in a variety of shapes and positions; panels can be purchased/added/removed to fit your space
CONs: Mufflers really should be provided, not an add-on purchase; would be nice to also have available in white like the HomePlus

Looking for a solution for a small elderly dog with mobility and vision issues, I needed something to help contain her to an area without crating her. Enter the FXW playpen. This is a solid and well made product. Each panel has two anchor points that align with the other panel's opposite side. Once aligned, you slide the stake through the four anchor points and then arrange in whatever way you need. This makes it very easy to adjust and move around.

The metal construction makes it somewhat heavy, but that's what you want in something like this. Stronger dogs might end up bending the smaller bars of each individual panel, so that is something to consider. In my case, our dog is small and can't really damage the fencing. We did purchase the additional stake floor protectors and the mufflers (the mufflers are highly recommended and honestly I think they should just be included or built into the panels).

Additional panels can be purchased, including another door panel, to make this highly customizable for what you need in the space you have. I installed this under a table to save room, and thanks to the independent panel construction, I can pull one of the stakes and swing the side open to access food and water bowls and reach for the dog when she gets lost. And on nice weather days, I can move the entire thing outside into the yard and let her get some warm sun without worrying about keeping her from wandering blindly into dangerous areas.

Be aware that you will likely need to purchase some of the add-on pieces, so you may want to find a bundle package, or you can order them separately as needed.

Note: I purchased this not knowing there was a HomePlus version which would have been more suitable for my purposes. However, I prefer this one in part because the door panel is a single lock compared to the dual lock of the HomePlus. I ordered HomePlus stakes to swap out because they are flush with the top of the fencing.

Okay, so I'm not a fan of putting things together. However, this is so simple, it takes minutes and you don't need to read the instructions. (You still have to use logic and common sense, but there is literally 2 steps and minimal parts!) not only is it quick and easy to assemble, it's very sturdy! The only thing I would recommend is purchasing a carabiner for each latch to secure them better. (2 latches on each gate) as our little magician found a way to open the gates/doors. We bought the 45 inch 8 panel for when he was a puppy and added 24 more panels to make a larger area in the garage or outside when we leave him. Works great! He can't jump out and it's super easy to assemble/disassemble. We plan to take it camping with us. We are very happy with this safe and effective dog containing product! Definitely more versatile (easy to move) and cheaper than putting up chain link fencing.

Gotta put this out there for loving pet owners! No fault of this pen, it is huge, tall in height, strong & not bad to look at versus a crate (which I find to cage like!) The door is easy, the latch secure! I thought great idea for my 12 week old doodle when I run out for quick errands! The big concern is the rungs, little paws can fit in them, if your puppy is smart enough, mine is, able to climb over & out, free, it happened! Yes cute to come home & see my fur baby greeting me, but concerned about him hurting himself & my trainer had a field day on telling me stories on puppy's badly hurt or maimed! So avoid, better choice a doorway, room (my kitchen) & a gate; no rungs, bars up & down! Hate crates, they have rungs as well, a roof, an accident can happen, think paw getting stuck! Just say No!

Background: I moved to three acres with no fencing, and three dogs (two doodles and a German shepherd). The doodles have subpar hearing (when it comes to recall), so I have been letting them out one at a time on a rope to go to the bathroom. I spent a LOT of time researching different fences (in ground electric vs above ground).

I decided to give this (45" x 48 panels) a try to build just a smaller backyard area off of the patio for the dogs to go out together (not on a leash), or sunbath while I work from home. This is WONDERFUL!! The product is so easy to set up, and does exactly what I need it to! One side of my back yard is the house, and we used some chicken wire under the deck to give them a bit more room.

Ease of Use /Flexibility- We were able to easily put some pieces together and stand them up and move/adjust/figure out the border prior to hammering them into the ground. Because of that, we didn't have to do a specific measuring to figure out where we wanted things! Also, there are several slopes right outside the patio, and the fence still looked great (no thanks to my Fiance and I both having mild OCD).

Another great thing about how easy it is to use this is that if we take the camper out on a trip, or want to change this area because we buy more panels or do some landscaping or whatever, it is SO EASY to make changes!!

Customer Service- the price dropped a week after I purchased it. Amazon generally will do a refund for the cost difference for their products, if the price drops within seven days of purchase. This is not an Amazon product, but I reached out to the company, and they refunded me 24% the next day!

It is worth mentioning that my dogs aren't huge jumpers"¦ they have no desire to jump over the fence. Any of them could jump up on it, and I am sure it would be just fine/sturdy enough"¦ but I know that wouldn't be true for all dogs.

My only complaint is that the doors. The latches on the doors are a bit small and not super easy to use, and the bit step is a bit inconvenient, but"¦ it's a small sacrifice. Not even worth dropping a star.
