Bought this particular pair because I needed 2 small (but not too small!) recycle containers; needed better-looking containers (to replace ratty old cardboard Boxes!), to sit in the kitchen visible area beside the fridge (width is perfect); wanted something light; And the handle helps to carry out to big bin in garage! I got the package of two of these--one for the home office and one for my art room. I've been using the 8 gallon liners--they are a bit large, but easy to get off and on. These are lightweight, so I can lift and empty them, but sturdy enough to stay in place. Since they are plastic, it's easy to rinse them out if dirty. I like this size--not too big to overpower the room. but big enough to collect my "mess." I really like the handle to make it easy to lift and move. If I have trash on the table I can lift the can with one hand and sweep the trash off the table with the other.
