I like the unit, and it's different features. As far as the air fry function, the ability to set various temps would have been nice and a feature that would be expected by most comsumers, Toshiba missed the mark on this. The over all quality of the product is good. I've laminated the cheat sheet that came with the unit, this has all of the setting codes, this is another area Toshiba could improve on, the presets are difficult to understand and translate, you'll need to decode the display readouts by looking at the complex cheat sheet, this is going to be a turn off for some users. I was torn between the Breville Combi (200.00 more) who does a better job with the presets and the display information and the Toshiba 7-1 and chose the Toshiba. Overall for the money it's a solid unit.

We've had this about 7 months. We use it 2x a day, mostly for defrosting.
PROS:
I love the convection / Bake feature. It's convenient and works well. Much easier and faster than heating the wall oven to toast something small. I also like the proportional power settings in the Microwave mode. It seems to work much better than the Off-On system most microwaves use. Plus the whole unit is near silent.
CONS:
Within about 5 months the single control knob became very sensitive and erratic. sometimes just touching it, not even turning it (as you have to to set anything), will cause it to set itself randomly, jump between functions, etc.
We've decided to keep it for now but I have my doubts as to how long the unit will last. It's well built EXCEPT for the controls but if you can't control it, it's pretty much useless.

For example, defrosted 1 lb of chicken breast in five minutes and used combination mode to cook for 17-18 minutes in a Stasher bag.
