Used for ceiling and wall insulation for metal building - loft area. Best product for this purpose imo. Make sure metal is reasonably clean. I used an old spray bottle to mist water on work surface (per recommendation). For 2" thickness - one spray can will not go far. Must let first coat dry to at least a firm tackiness before applying second coat. Also, if product isn't held perfectly upright during the application, it will not come out very good"¦.for tight spaces - because of container height, you have to watch ceiling/braces. Overall, don't expect ultra, even coverage in tight spaces where spraying motion is hindered. Mechanics of application is most important. Good product.
Good product works great!

Really like this product! Was really pretty easy to use and figure out. We used it on the walls in our pole shed. Will definitely buy again
So far so good

Getting started was easier than some had claimed. On the first can I got drips but backed the can out very slightly and found the point where the spray fanned out. After that I just screwed in each can until I heard the material fill the gun barrel. Definitely wear ALL of the included safety gear, even the goggles if you where glasses. There are tiny pinhead-sized drops of over spray that are imperceptible when you are working and they do not come off. Place plastic anywhere you don't want the drops. I recommend applying with the red (wall) nozzle vertically and spray the corners between sheathing and stud all the way around and then fill in the field moving left-right. I did 2 coats: it seemed to avoid waste and covered more in the end. Once you finish a pass do not try to immediately go back over as most often this knocked off some in the process. I was able to fill gaps on the second coat just fine. I also moistened areas with a garden sprayer as I went. It does not take much water at all. It seemed to help adhesion. I was really nervous after researching on the web but in the end this is a fantastic product.
Easy to use, but with limitations...

I bought this to put a couple inches of insulation and decrease air infiltration along the outside cavities between the joists in my basement. My observations and experience:
1. Cans sat on the floor of my 70 degree basement for two weeks before install. First can sputtered a lot and was a real mess. I took the rest upstairs and put them a couple feet away from a heat register for three hours. They were much better after that.
2. As others have stated, the cans are too tall for my application and the spray pattern when holding the gun sideways or more than 45 degrees vertical is fine for 10 seconds or so, but then deteriorates quickly. I did find that if I did 10 seconds of work then shook it vigorously for 10 seconds before starting again I could get it to work...mostly.
3. Wet the surface. Do it. For real.
4. I found application around and between drains/pipes/etc. impossible in any fashion resembling some sort of uniformity. Again, I believe this largely had to do with some of the tighter spaces I was trying to work in. It turned out pretty doggone ugly in those spots, but did achieve the desired insulation affect so far. That was mostly in a utility room so the aesthetic wasn't of paramount importance, but messy nonetheless.
5. I didn't have too much spatter for the most part but a portion of my beard was apparently exposed and I didn't notice for a couple hours. In lieu of spraying the cleaner on my face I chose to trim my beard. Wear the body covering suit for sure if spraying overhead.
6. The cleaning product is excellent and easy. About 20 seconds in the backyard. Personally I didn't want to do it in the house bc why tempt fate?
7. I did a test between wall studs down there and application when not holding at an angle was incredibly simple and uniform. This is what these cans are built for.
8. Coverage is about as advertised/expected.
That's about it. Not perfect for my application, but probably beats the heck out of custom fitting rigid foam and sealing with disposable cans/applicators. Just be ready to work a little harder and be able to put up with some ugliness in tight spots.
Update: I've raised this to a 4 star rating after purchasing another box and noticing something when screwing the cans into the gun. With the first box my son, who is 16 and generally very competent, shook and screwed in the cans while I sprayed and made the mess. He wasn't helping this time so I did it myself and performance was noticeably better. The cans were still too tall for my application, but I wasn't needing to stop and shake so often. I called him down to show him, thinking that we must have gotten a better box, then it happened again when he did one. What we learned was that each can has these tabs on the top I instinctively used to fully tighten, creating a stronger seal. He was just screwing it in while holding the can until it spun. Lesson learned and it gets another star out of me. Everything above still applies, I just didn't have to stop and shake nearly as often and had better pressure toward the end of the bottle.
