Good for energetic cat, but won’t last long.

I have an overly energetic cat, who tends to destroy the house when he's restless. This toy has been a huge help. I have it hanging off the ground enough that he has to jump to reach the mouse. It does wonders for him to burn off all that energy.
I removed one star because we have gone through two in about 6 months. I don't necessarily blame the product, since he does play with them pretty hard. But the mouse came off of both within a day. I simply just re-tied the mouse to the end by the tail. The reason we are on our second one is because the elastic didn't hold up for long on the first and eventually stretched all the way out.
That being said, I'll keep buying these. My cat loves them, I love that he gets a lot of good play in. So it's a win-win overall.

My orange girl is a real energetic troublemaker, and smart to boot. She's not easily entertained, and she's a hardcore chewer, which means half of playtime is usually spent trying to keep her from gnawing through her toys.
We haven't had any trouble with this, and it's been a lifesaver when thirty minutes of feather on a string isn't enough for her. We hung it a little high and the string is elastic enough that even when she catches it, it snaps away before she can really chew at it. It keeps her entertained for a while.

This is exactly as advertised. I didn't keep it tho because it looks like..well a dead rat hanging itself. It freaks me out. It just was not well thought out on my part to have purchased this version. Maybe something with feathers and a ball would be less disturbing. The return process was meh.. had to box and label it myself and it never even came in a box which socks. That's on Amazon tho.

One of them thought it was fun to chew the elastic. I kept retying the mouse back on but after three days they couldn't reach it any more because it was too short. So while they liked it, it didn't last long. If there was a tougher bouncy string it would be awesome. Could just be my cats though. They like to chew on cheap canvas bag handles and render those useless as well.
