Much lighter than described. 10oz with scabbard vs 14oz in description. sharpenable. Maybe you like heavier/thicker? If so, shut up about pack weight. Personally I'd rather take some care of my equipment and carry a lighter pack. To each their own, but I am not a recruit.

I love it. A long knife that is well built. Keeps it edge. I sharpened it out of the box and its razor sharp now. Cheap blades can never be razor sharp, the material will not allow it to hold that edge. Why we buy hard brittle steel blades, they can get the sharpest. Ceramic knives break people and lose their edge. There is no substitute for a good knife in a Survival situation. This knife is for that scenario. This is not a knife to play with either, for those of you who allow children to own these things.
