great sleeping air pad, but a little too narrow.

I slept on a cold cement basement floor with this, it was really just a test to see how I might like it out on camping trips. I have to say I was very impressed with this thin, lightweight air pad. Not only is it made with thin seemingly durable material, but the pad itself is not quite 4" tall yet I did not bottom out on the floor. The foot pump works great, and I think with time, I'll get to know exactly where to stop for desired inflation. I am 63 years old so I am more likely to need cushion so I will say that having it really full felt like pressure points on the pillowed bumps of the design. With some finessing, I adjusted the air for perfect comfort. The pillow is a great design I think. I usually sleep with one of those neck pillows buy I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort level of its contour. It
deflates in seconds really, the remaining air squeezes out as you roll it up tightly to fit back in what I think is a tiny sack. Here is the drawback, I am 5.4 at about 135 lbs and found the air pad to be too narrow. I would really like maybe 6 inches wider. I found my hand or arm or knee on the floor constantly. I would sacrifice a tad more weight to have that comfort. I move a lot during the night. There are snaps along the edges of both sides which is a great feature because my husband and I like to zip our sleeping bags together. But I think one more wouldn't be enough and attaching two more would be too much. If you don't think that's an issue for you, then you will totally love this. And it didn't break the bank!

Okay I have 20 years of back country experience. I have had 100s of nights camping and I have always used high end sleep pads. I bought this for my son to camp with me I took it this last elk hunting trip. The cons. The foot pump is dumb"¦. It is also clunky but it does work really well I would normally just blow it up. Another con. This is not a warm sleep pad if you have an edge of the pad exposed to the cold your back will get cold. (Now it was 28 degrees so"¦) But if your a sure to let your sleep system drape over the edge of the pad then you will be comfortably warm. Pros the pillow is great!!! I am 240 and I never felt the ground and if your sleep system is set up right this pad would keep you plenty warm. Truth be told it was the best sleep I have had in the woods. I will buy another. Great product. Now I will not take it on my winter trips but I will use it all three seasons next year.

Easy to inflate; however, it's very difficult to close the plugs.

Me and my boyfriend were moving across the country and had to sell our mattress. Since we would have nothing to lay on for a whole week while all of our furniture and cars were shipped across the country we bought this. It was actually surprising very comfortable for something that looks like it would be like laying on the floor. I highly recommend this. I would go camping with this. It was very comfortable
For a good nights sleep this is it

On a river trips I have tried most everything out there to sleep on at one time or another. I usually take a twin sized blow up mattress with a pump, but when weight is scrutinized down to the oz that is a problem. This sleeping pad intrigue me because of the built in foot pump. No more D batteries and 1lb pump to haul up the beach in a river back, my back was saying thank you before I hit the buy button. Depending on the weather I will either sleep on a cot or on the ground in a one person tent. This year I had to use both, and I must say I was not disappointed on how it worked with both. It is wide enough to fit my 6 foot, 200lb. body and not feel every rock on the ground while in the tent. Also did not move around on the cot when I twisted and turned in my sleeping bag.
What I liked: It is light weight, feels like thick material with a slight roughness to it (helps you from sliding off). Really liked the built in pillow (I will usually just roll up a jacket - think zippers diggin' you all night long). Also liked the compact size it folded up into, I really watched how it came when I took it out of the bag the first time (a thing I rarely ever do) so I would know how to reinstall it back into said bag.
Could be improved: The only (and just this one) thing I wish was better is the valve, one night (and it was probably my fault for not pushing it in far enough) it came out. In one of my twists and rolling over I must have hit it and the air was free to escape its confinement.
