This cane is as sturdy as you could ask for, solid oak with a metal dowel connecting the handle and shaft. It is also very attractive "” hand carved with a walnut stain. I rated it only 4 stars on lightweight because I've had canes that were so light they were flimsy; this one isn't heavy but it certainly isn't flimsy "” it is heavy enough to be safe. The packaging was the best I've ever received"” no way was it going to be scratched or damaged. Plus buying it helps a family business in wartime Ukraine.

I have MS, and occasionally require the use of a cane while walking. I hate the look of the metal hospital-grade canes and wanted something with a little more class. With prices going into the hundreds of dollars for wooden canes, this seemed like a reasonable deal.
This came disassembled, with the head of the cane separated from the shaft. It was packaged in a box, with some foam around both parts to protect them from damage during transit. The foam provided was definitely adequate to protect the cane, and it arrived undamaged. It was very easy to assemble, and it does not seem like the head will back out of the shaft.
I was overall very impressed with the quality. Nobody is going to mistake it for a top-of-the-line cane worth hundreds of dollars, but it definitely seems to be more expensive than what I actually paid for it. I was so impressed with it that I bought a second cane from them, so I can have an at-home cane and an out-in-public cane.
Finally, from a personal standpoint, this cane was made in Ukraine during the Russian aggression. I am happy to support a business from that country, and wish them all the best in pushing back the unlawful intrusion to their native land.

I got this cane for my Dad's 67th birthday. He was due to have hip replacement surgery and he said he needed a cane. He absolutely LOVES it! Let me tell y'all, my little brother accidentally slammed the cane in the truck gate, and it survived! With just a tiny scratch. My dad was very surprised. He walked into surgery this morning, with his cane. He said he loves the feel of it and how secure it holds him up. What makes this cane more meaningful, was it came with a note that said it was made in Ukraine during the war. I purchased the Cherry Wood cane for my husband after total knee surgery. He no longer needs to use a walker and has found the cane not only extremely attractive, but provides the stability he needs as he recovers. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent and has far exceeded our expectations. My husband receives compliments on his cane every where we go. It is packed well for shipping and arrived in perfect condition. This is a superior cane and we highly recommend it for anyone needing an assistive device.

I honestly hate the idea of having to use a cane but from a lifetime of athletics I am left with an arthritic hip that needs to be replaced. I can get along without the cane most of the time but some days, especially in the morning, the hip is just too stiff. When that happens the cane is there to get me going. And the fact that it is a beautiful product that looks and feels nothing like one of those cold look metal ones has helped me in accepting that until I get the hip fixed sometimes I need a little help.

Heck even after the hip is fixed maybe continue to use it as a walking stick.
