I have a German Shepherd and 3 cats. I have a spare bedroom that I gate off for the cats to have their own space. This is the 4th and last gate I was going to attempt because my GSD has been able to bust through and break the last 3. Not this one. This is the gate to buy if you have a stubborn bull headed strong and smart dog. She can't pop this one open with her weight because you have to press, squeeze, and lift to open it. Very sturdy. I am so happy with this purchase. 10/10 recommend.

This gate is awesome. We had bought a different gate (carlsen?) because it was supposed to be cat friendly but the opening was way too wide and our dog could fit through. I wound up having to keep it permanently closed and sawed through one of the rails to make space for the cats to get through. With this, the opening is adjustable so we can make sure the dog doesn't fit but the cats do, and we can close as needed if the cats shouldn't be moving through.
This also feels more secure with the double locking mechanism/lift aspect. Less convenient to open and close regularly but I'll take that for the piece of mind.
Installation was fairly easy - the special screw driver for tightening the bolts is a great concept.

We use this gate for a new puppy to limit her ability to roam the house without having to limit our cat's access to the houses. Works great. Sturdy and easy to use and install. My only concern is for people who want to put this at the top of the stairs. The bar across the bottom is somewhat of a trip hazard. So be careful.

I bought this to keep the kitten downstairs but the he figured out how to get around it; however he can come and go when the puppy gets to be too overbearing"¦lol. Easy to install. Has screws if you want to attach it to the wall but the pressure application worked well for us. We have a wall on one side and stairway rail on the other side. Took 5 minutes to put up. Minimal assembly. Love it! Gate also swings inward or outward.
