The puppet head is a little bit bigger but I'd say accomadates most adults hand unless they are "lumber jack" in size.
Nothing has torn! Preteen male loves it and plays with Kermit daily. I think his hand is medium sized.
Firm cardboard in mouth. But could bend and become mishaped with young child, throwing it around or getting buried under weight.
Packaged with arms, legs folded and head down, like a ball. Kept the mouth safe during transport.
