As I aged the cmc joint developed Osteoarthritis and grabbing the neck of the guitar did result in a lot of pain. I had tried more technique solutions than I knew existed. As an example, today I probably put in 2 hours of deliberate practice on arpeggios and inversions. I experienced no pain in that cmc joint. My hands were fatigued but no more than usual. I own the really expense brace and got this as back up, just in case. They are interchangeable for me. Others, maybe not. I've got a resource now available that allows me to continue practicing and playing. If it's cmc pain your looking to relieve I hope it works for you also

I'm an artist and mostly sculpt wood and fabricate metal, I've worked with my hands since I but a wee lad (53 now) , had surgery on both thumbs for arthritis and have been using these for over a year now after trying many different styles. Great support very comfortable and I'm still using the one I bought last year for my right hand (right hand dominate) and would still have the one for my left hand if my dogs hadn't snacked on it, just got.a new one for my left. These are pretty comfortable wearing underneath gloves and trust me when I say they get worked hard.will definitely buy them again, they come with and extra strap which I changed to after about 10 months of nearly daily use, I often sleep.with them on as well. I will buy again!

I used thi brace for the arthritis in my left thumb cmc joint. Like everyone else this brace was great, until it wasn't. Mine split like everyone else's. I have tried the more expensive model ( different brand). Theirs was great until the Velcro wore out. They blamed me for too much wear and tear on the Velcro. Their Velcro wasn't replaceable! They also charge three times the price. So I will stick with this brand and hope they come up with a solution that doesn't crack.

This helps relive the pain in my thumb joint that is caused by arthritis. It is pretty effective at this. It took me a while to get it adjusted to my hand and the straps have to be adjusted so that there is not too much pressure on the joint. This works much better than my previous braces, so for me, it is well worth the cost. One of its major advantages is its relatively small size compared to other types of thumb joint braces.

This little brace made a world of difference with my trigger finger and bursitis pain. I mean from a level 9 pain to a 1!!! Easy to use, comfortable, and worth every penny. But it only lasted 3 weeks at 5 days/week use??? You can see in the pic where the softer material slit open. I'm not using it under any kind of strenuous activity so I took a star off for the mechanical failure"” would have taken 3 stars off but the brace does help with the pain. Wish they would warranty it"¦ should last longer.
