Expensive but the best solution

This cost more than my wall mount, but it enabled me to use my curved Samsung monitor that I got for a great price from Costco.com. I could have used a 3D printed adapter, but my library charges by the gram so the cost would be similar. Etsy has some for sale, but with very slow shipping. This one works well and is strong. I just wish it was white. Also, I reused the screws from the mount that came with the monitor. I used one washer on each screw because this seemed thinner than what was behind the monitor before. Be careful not to use screws so long that they touch the screen panel.

I purchased a 32" 4K Samsung monitor to replace an older Dell 1080p monitor being held on my desk-mounted laptop/monitor clamp, but it didn't come with a VESA adaptor. I quickly logged back into Amazon and found this item highly reviewed - so I ordered it. It arrived one day earlier than scheduled (!) and fit perfectly. It's made from a single piece of steel, with the supporting "tongue" that is inserted into the back of the monitor bent back 90 degrees and then welded onto the main support plate. If this weld fails, the bracket could collapse and the monitor could fall to my glass desktop. I've included a shot of the weld itself as it's very well done. This is a high-quality weld. I have high confidence that this weld will not fail.

The item works great - it does exactly what it says and was very straightforward to install. The only drawback is that this adds some depth to the unit, so the monitor sticks out a few inches further. If using on a shallow depth desk, be mindful of that.

I will say I used this for an over/under mount and it does move your monitor ~2 inches closer so it isn't flush with the other one. Not a huge deal but be aware.
