I got this cargo carrier for my SUV to carry luggage and Christmas gifts and it definitely did the job. It held luggage for 5 people, a soft cooler, groceries, Christmas gifts, and there was still room for more. It is easy to install, but you do want to make sure you cinch it tight. I think ours was cinched too loose or packed too light on our return trip and it shifted a bit. Fantastic product, quality zippers, velcro, and tie downs, great purchase!

I bought this to use on road trips to our property which is over 300 miles away.

We have used this bag on one trip with about 20 total hrs of road time. 7hrs of that was constant rain, heavy winds throughout the trip, and then snow to top it off. This bag held up great and as I hoped. No water got inside the bag, there were no issues with the structure of the bag in the wind, and it held three suitcases, boots, and two coats. I spent a great deal of time the night before we left perfecting the bag. Every strap was as tight as I could get it, tapped the straps so they were not loose in the wind, and also added an additional strap over one row of suitcases. I attached the bag to a roof top cargo basket on a Honday Odyssey.
Highly recommend this product, it worked great. I think my success with this bag was: having patience with the instal and being careful with the fabric, strategicly placing luggage so that the bag was filled from corner to corner, and getting the bag as tight as I could.

Went on our first trip with the larger bag atop our 2018 Traverse without rails. The mounting is pretty simple as the clips that come with the bag are very sturdy. I simply had to pull back the weather stripping on the door to secure the clips for straight roof mount. I am overall pleased with the performance and durability of the bag. It is a bit floppy unless you really cinch down on the straps built into the bag. On our way to our destination, we were in a hurry and I installed the bag backwards. I was displeased that I had to keep tightening the straps during our trip (luckily had a 2nd car that told me when it was loose). Upon unloading then removing the bag at our destination, we realized our mistake. I took a little extra care and effort installing the bag the correct direction for the trip back and had zero issues. It even stayed very tight with no "flopping" of the bag. I guess it's made a little sturdier from front to back rather than the reverse.
