For the price, I think these were a very good deal! They were $12.99 (Prime free shipping) when I purchase them in Oct 2023.
I see from some of the other reviews that these might be hit or miss. But for me, I was happy with what I received. They smell amazing, the strong vanilla scent wafted right through the packaging!
I'd say they are 'medium plump'. They're definitely not skinny and dried up, but they are also not the most plump largest vanilla beans I've ever had either. They fall somewhere in the middle. Again, I think for the price point they are perfect. Especially when you consider how much one single vanilla bean costs in most grocery stores!
So far I used 1 vanilla bean to make some vanilla simple syrup. It turned out terrific. Then I cut it up & put the used vanilla bean in a small jar of natural sugar. It's been sitting there for about 2 weeks, whenever I open the jar, it smells amazing. It's a great way to reuse vanilla beans.
