I'm a competitive archer and I'm very skeptical about rangefinders. 1 yd off can be a big deal in sight settings and points at the end of the day. The first thing I did after putting in the battery and setting my options was get out my tape measure and range a World Archery target, an empty black bale, and a 3D deer target in the bright sunshine. This thing was absolutely accurate all the way out to 70 yd on the target. I lost a consistent 0.5 yd to the non reflective black bale and deer. That is great accuracy for a hand held range finder, especially for this price! Very happy with my purchase!

15 yard minimum distance to scan threw me off, but realistically one doesn't need a rangefinder at that distance. Readouts difficult to see in bright lighting conditions. A bit pricey for what it is, but then, it's a Vortex.
