Great color palette, soft yarn, used it to crochet a blanket with 3.5 mm crochet hook.
great yarn

Love the yarn. I bought some more and is similar to scheepjes stonewashed yarn but cheaper if you're in the United States.
Works up beautifully
Liz Holden ✓ Verified Purchase•August 31, 2023
This yarn does work up beautifully! I ordered on two separate occasions and didn't run into dye lot issues. This yarn does have a slight halo to it, but using it in a wearable turned out great. It's soft and works out to be a medium weight. No one believed I found this yarn on Amazon. This top is something I will hand wash to make sure the color won't run because it's so beautiful. I would absolutely buy this in other colors again!
Comparing to Sheepjes Stonewashed

I bought this yarn as a substitute for Sheepjes Stonewashed yarn. It has the same fiber content as well as the same weight. It is priced much lower and I like that. I am using it to make the stuffed animals from Louise Crowther's books, Knitted Animal Friends. I previously made the horse and the pig with Sheepjes Stonewashed without any issues. I made the ram with both Cotton to the Core for the body and Sheepjes for the rest. Both are quality yarns, but the only issue I have with Cotton to the core is that the cotton strand within the yarn tends to get caught when I am doing complex stitches such as the bobbles for the ram's body. It does have a nice halo which tends to get fuzzier as it wears which is nice for a stuffed animal. Other than the cotton strand issue, I love this yarn. I would like to see other cotton yarns in this weight that are less heathered and more solid like the Sheepjes Catona or in other colorways such as the Sheepjes Riverwashed. Also, the ballband does not contain the color name on it which can be an issue when buying the multipacks. There also is no dye lot number either which is needed if making a larger project.
Not as thick as it looks
