Firmer than I thought but I like it
Lan4fam✓ Verified Purchase•February 12, 2024
Ok so I've had this mattress for a month now and it did take a couple weeks to even out completely and lose the lump down the center it had, for me that wasn't an issue as I have a king and plenty of room to just scoot away lol, anywho... this mattress is FIRM it has very little give and that's ok with me and my husband as we both have back issues and needed the support. It's not like a rock tho and my hips don't ache so it alleviates pressure from my experience with it. I have a mattress pad (cotton down alternative) and satin sheets Over top and it's cooling for us, unlike our old memory foam mattress that had us sweating constantly. Overall it's a decent mattress for the price and I can sit on the edge without sinking or sliding off and I'm over 200lbs, but our bed frame sort of allows the mattress to sit sort of sunken down into it instead of on top of it so take that into consideration when reading reviews as I did considering I have to sit with my feet on the floor before standing due to having POTS. Ok so now you've read my poorly written grammatically incorrect and very awfully punctuated essay, I'd say if you're into a cheap firmer memory foam mattress, that I can confirm is fiberglass free BTW, go for it. We like it and sleep well and we are both over 6ft and over 200lbs each. (Yeah I know we are giants lol)
No fiberglass – really!

** Initial review: 4 stars ** (see updates below)
I got this mattress in 10" queen in gray. I've had many memory-foam mattresses/"bed in a box" kits over the years. What appealed to me about this one was the price and that it's fiberglass-free.
UNPACKING IT
Hubby and I opened the mattress at 4:00 pm and closely inspected it "” no mold or dirt. Whew. Looked totally clean. I have allergies and am a STICKLER about clean mattresses. Had I seen a smudge of anything remotely suspect, I would have immediately returned it. I was horrified by the stories from other reviewers about finding mold (and then being told by the company that it was "just dirt" "” equally unacceptable!), and honestly I was expecting the worst. I literally tried to cancel my order twice, but Amazon refused because it had already shipped. Fortunately, to my great relief, the mattress arrived 100% clean. And believe me, I inspected every inch of the thing.
As part of my inspection, I checked the fabric and stitching all the way around. I saw no open seams or loose threads. The zippers ran smoothly.
There was no smell at all once we got it out of the packaging. Memory foam mattresses have a very recognizable odor (if you've had one, you know) and usually off-gas for a few days. This one had a faint odor ONLY during the five minutes we were removing the plastic packaging. (And honestly, a lot of products do that if they've been cooped up in plastic wrap for a time.) It went away immediately.
FIBERGLASS DOUBLE-CHECK
I unzipped the cover a few inches "” gingerly at first "” to confirm that the mattress is indeed fiberglass-free, as advertised. THANK GOD. The slabs of foam are held together by a knit "sock" that clearly does not contain fiberglass because it is matte and has no shiny bits, nor did it shed any fibers. It appears to be a cotton-poly blend. See my attached photo.
This means the cover is washable! (To be clear, I'm talking about the *zippered cover*, not the inner sock.) Although I don't personally need to wash the cover "” because I use an allergen-proof mattress encasement "” I can see how having the option to wash it could be useful.
HEIGHT
We set the mattress on the bed frame, and two hours later, it had plumped up to 8".
Twenty-four hours later, it had only plumped up to 9", and one of the corners by the footboard was still a bit crumpled.
At this point now (a week into it, at the time I'm writing this review), I'm not sure it will ever fully inflate to the stated 10". Not a huge deal, though, as I only ordered this mattress as an emergency stopgap until we can buy a nicer one locally.
FIRMNESS
Everyone's perception will be different, but on a scale of 1-10, where 1=plush (squishmallow) and 10=firm (plank of wood), this mattress feels to me like an 8. It's quite firm. I honestly wasn't expecting this. All of my memory foam mattresses over the years have been a ~5 (fairly cushy), so I assumed this one would be too.
Despite my reservations about its firmness, I have slept VERY well on this mattress over the past week. No pain, zero complaints. I don't normally go for firm mattresses, but I may be a convert now. LOL.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall this is an excellent mattress if you have a smaller budget and want to avoid the dreaded fiberglass sock. Despite its minor drawbacks, for the price, it's a perfectly acceptable mattress.
** UPDATE, four days later **
The crumpled corner has fixed itself, but the mattress is still only 9" tall.
** UPDATE, two weeks later: Rating increased to 5 stars **
I changed the bed linens today and, for craps & cackles, measured the height of the mattress again. It's at 10" now. I was shocked that it actually got there. I'm still loving the firmness and have been waking up blessedly pain-free. I've increased my rating to five stars.
** UPDATE, three months later, January 2023 **
I am IN LOVE with this mattress. I don't think I'll bother buying a different one locally, as this "stopgap" mattress has exceeded all my expectations.
I noticed the manufacturer is now, at the time of this update, offering more variations of this mattress than were available when I bought it. There are now "firm" options.
My best guess is that the mattress I bought & received is the "firm" variety, and they are selling a new, softer mattress slotted into the plain "8/10/12-inch" categories.
Why do I think this?
Because I cannot imagine how a memory foam mattress could possibly be firmer than mine without either defying the laws of physics or being a slab of literal stone.
If we end up ordering a new mattress for the guest room, you can bet we'll buy this one again, and I'll report back and either confirm or refute my theory about the new "firm" variety.
** UPDATE, six months after original review, April 2023 **
WE DID IT: We bought the exact same mattress, 10" gray, for the guest room "” and my theory was right!
The new mattress is softer, about a 6 on the 1-10 firmness scale.
It also plumped up WAY faster than the original one, probably because it's less dense. The height measured 8.5" a mere 30 minutes after opening and reached the full 10" by the next day. All four corners were immediately crisp with no crumpling. The cover was clean & pristine on all sides. No odor. We are extremely pleased!
Our original mattress is still phenomenal. Zero complaints. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
I can confidently give my full endorsement of this mattress, both the "firm" and "not firm" varieties.
May you have restful and pain-free sleep, my friend.

OKAY this literally just arrived so my first update will be on shipping and unwrapping alone.
First off my box came super damaged I didn't grab photos of it because the mattress inside was obviously SUPER wrapped and looked fine. Thanking the heavens my UPS driver left this ginormous HEAVY box on top of a wagon I had outside making it super easy for me to get through the garage and inside. That being said I am a average build woman and I would consider myself very much in shape and this mf thing was HEAVY and so awkwardly long (king blue 14in). I recommend at least two people unless you have yourself a big strong man to help you lol.
They included the tool to help cut through the thousands of layers of vacuum seal plastic they wrapped it in which is awesome. The bed looks nice, no smell so far, and no stains (I checked every inch). They recommend 72 hours for it to plump back up so I'll be back then with a update.ðŸ'‚
**72 HR UPDATE 10/16/2023**
I waited the 72 hours WOOHOO everything measures 14'' except two corners that are still a bit scrunched on the bottom. I took the advice from another reviewer and I gave those two corners some heavy massage in hopes they will plump up. Time will tell if they get to 14''. This wasn't a huge issue for me I just put those two corners at the top of my bedframe (where you lay your head) and I am hoping for the best!
I did have some snagged threads on the mattress cover that I have addressed with the manufacture so ill update if anything is done about that as well.
As far as sleeping I went from a super old memory foam pillow top mattress that had horrible sinking spots from being slept on that was extremely plush from old age. This mattress is FIRM but yet so soft? I was never a fan of firm beds but with the memory foam it really just works. I can tell my body is still adjusting to the mattress plus its only been one night (: Ill have a better update in a few weeks but . For the cooling aspect, I was so used to my old bed being so hot I actually woke up cold and had to grab my comforter! So id say as far as the cooling aspect 10/10! As of right now I am more than happy with my purchase.

Bought this for my teenage son who is hard on beds. He wanted to get out of a twin and into something bigger so I thought I would give this a try. It has been great for him and with the price I couldn't not try it. No smell when I opened it and yes as I let it sit to come to the full size at first one corner seemed to not spring up like the rest but within 3 days it was perfect. Have had this mattress for over a year now and it's just like new! And trust me this boy is hard on beds! He also says it sleeps great
6 month Review, Still feels like NEW

My back would feel sore in the morning from my old mattress so it was time to replace it. I was looking into getting the "Purple" one but at $2000 for a King size mattress i decided to shop around. I found several ones on Amazon but i was nervous about buying a mattress online. I did a lot of comparing between mattresses on Amazon and this one had the best reviews and a awesome price.
The mattress came quickly and I laid it out flat on the bed frame and let it air out for 48hrs. It puffed up quickly and it looked ready but i decided to wait the 48 hrs. After the first night of using it my back soreness was gone. The mattress feels very firm and is very comfortable. 6 months later and the matress still feels like its brand new. The price of this mattress is a steal compared to those other Name Brand Mattresses. I've actually recommended this mattress to my friends and i will buy another one in the future when i need one.
