My dogs are HORRIBLE with toys - nothing lasts more than a few minutes before stuffing is everywhere or pieces of plastic litter my floor. Spending money on toys is almost silly given they think everything must be destroyed! I bought 3 of them for my 3 dogs MONTHS ago & the tails & mouth part are finally almost gone - these toys have stood the test of my monsters & we will be buying more! GREAT value for the longevity with super chewers!

My five German Shepherds have loved this toy and destroyed it. As we are saying goodbye six months later I decided to share my review. At first none of them cared for it. I was going to return but for the money just didn't. I don't know how many months I had it before one of them picked it up ( maybe two) then they all wanted it. Within a month they did rip all the foam off, supervision is a must. They are all aggressive chewers.

My daughter plays fetch with it, can't stand it, but they love it. She throws it away from them, it's way too heavy for a dog to catch without chipping teeth. I don't like the fetch because when they drop it at my feet to play it hurts when I'm wearing sandals, again it's heavy and solid. Not supposed to throw it but my dogs love it, when tired then go lay down and chew on it. This toy has lived outside since we bought it since it's heavy and my dogs love to drop it at feet. They are only outside when we are so always supervised. Can't stress that enough since they can eventually rip the foam and chew body off with enough chewing. I wouldn't leave this toy or any toy alone with an aggressive chewer ever.

This is the longest lasting aggressive chew toy we've owned. So I'm very happy with it and if you're here you know the pain of trying to find something that last longer than a day or week. I wish I tried peanut butter to get them interested sooner.

This thing is hard plastic feeling with a softer rubbery thing added to the body. I have an aggressive chewer (choco lab puppy) and got this for him for Christmas a year ago. Half the rubbery stuff is gone, we have had to pay attention so he doesn't eat that part. But that took a good six or so months to come off and comes off in small chunks. The rest of the hard body shows chew-wear but overall it's been fantastic for a year in. And here's the thing - he has a toy box and consistently chooses this toy when he wants to chew on something (versus choosing a toy we or our other dog will play with with him)! He is now 2 and has typical lab energy that he will devote to this toy for an hour, easily. For the cost, it is absolutely worth the purchase, 100%! I would give it 5 stars if the rubbery stuff didn't come off, but I will absolutely buy another of these for when we finally have to toss this one.

I love gators. Alfred the alligator was my favorite cartoon growing up as a child. The gator was my sons mascot. The gators in South Carolina have been around since a long time. They're the oldest creatures in South Carolina. But just because they can live a thousand years doesn't mean they won't go extinct. They protect the bald Eagle nest. They surround it. The bald Eagle in turn will feed the gator fish. The gator protect the great egrets. They can get to more than 10 foot long. They recently had a hunt where they killed like a 2000 year old gator. They were draining a lake in our state. I don't know the reasoning of draining the lake I think to work on the dams and water system. And the electrical but they found a huge massive gator. It's historical . But a baby egg of a baby was seen. We had one in our neighborhood it was too close to the playground. Having this toy will teach those living in the south to have a healthy respect for the gators. It is an educational toy. We had a white gator at the aquarium that lived for many years. My dog did not chew the gator he was afraid of it. But it would have been good for him because he is a strong chewer. It's is ok if your child is afraid of the gator it helps to have a healthy fear and respect of the gator. Some people farm them and raise them from babies. The meat and leather are good. You have to have a license to kill them they governered by DNR.

Our insatiable large breed puppy hasn't destroyed this yet so that's a win but she definitely has done some major damage to it. The draw back is that it is very hard so not a great toy for fetching.

Update: it still is a favorite for her to chew and play with but it is coming apart easier now. At this point it needs to be replaced. I would say it's a worth the cost to replace it every few months rather than replacing cheaper chew toys every week which is what we were doing beforehand.
