I bought these to accent a stone wall in our home. I liked them so much I ordered two more. Gives you plenty of light light to see where your going but not too much to be over bearing like watching tv.
My only gripe id that they dim when there is some light in the room , not an on or off thing but it adjusts it's light if it is darker like in a shadow, and because of that they will look like they are acting wierd but they're not.

I've been reading that Amber Light is best for winding down at night since it promotes melatonin for your body! It basically tells your body that it's time to go to bed. Something to do with how our early ancestors used fire at night to protect ourselves and keep us safe throughout the night! But also it blocks like 99.99% of blue light.

For red light, it's best to put it in places like your bedroom or bathroom because it doesn't mess with your circadian rhythm because it has no blue light at all.

I would totally buy more if they had motion sensor versions of these! They should make ones that have a setting for Auto (for motion sensing at night) and On (on for dawn/dusk).
There isn't an "off" button but you can move the slider all the way until the light shuts off.
I put the other one in the room where my senior cat hangs out the most because at that age, animals don't have as great of an eyesight as they did before.
