Had this little guy for just over a week and very satisfied so far. I live in an apt. and access to the single washer & dryer can be a challenge. I wanted something that I can wash my work shirts and other small items in. This guy fits the bill. The spinner is a bit touchy, less is more :) and I usually put one shirt at a time in. 2 minutes spinning and stuff is almost dry so really not that big a deal. Also watch your soap input, a little goes a long way. Still need the bigger units for the towels, sheets and jeans but laundry day is much shorter when knocking out a few items after work with this machine. Again, I've had it just over a week, so will have to see how well it works in a month or even 6 months from now. So far worth the purchase price.

Update: Almost a month and I am still super happy. What works best for me is using on the kitchen counter. I tried in the bathtub, but to get the hose to drain best, the unit has to be backwards for me. Also it was a bit to much bending. I moved to the kitchen counter next to sink and much happier. What works for me: I fill a large bucket (the hose does not fit my faucet) with cold water and add to the tub. I run a load and then run the next one as I am spinning the items from the first load. As someone else mentioned, there is no "rinse" cycle, you can rinse under running water in the sink or run a second bucket full for the rinse. With small loads I like the delicate cycle, it's not marked on the knob, but turn to the far left and there it is. If the tub is full then I run at the regular cycle. I still like 1 shirt in the spinner but for socks and other small items I'll go for more. With the spin cycle you know right away if your load is unbalanced. You can lift the lid while the spinner is spinning and it will STOP. Great safety feature. Today I got adventurous and tossed in a pair of jeans just to see how it would handle them. They will take longer to dry than my shirts, but game changer for me. There is less shaking if you have the wash tub full to counter balance the weight of the spinning jeans. I also use the drain screen for my garbage disposal to act as a lint and dog hair trap and not send down my sink drain. Over all I am one happy camper and recommend this little guy.
In two hours today I got the same amount of laundry done as if I would have using the laundry room, but without the $4. per load. :)
Everyone should have one!

I was surprised to even find this washer/dryer that ships to Hawaii with such a nice affordable price. Keeping the price in mind, I wasn't expecting much more than a toy. It shipped really quick and upon arrival I was shocked at the size and weight of the washer; it wasn't difficult to carry up our steep driveway. Upon opening this little gem, I noticed a burnt wire smell. My husband, an electrician, did not. So I read the booklet and tried it out on a small load of whites; no bleach, just a small squirt of Dr. Bronner's spearmint Castile soap (great all around cleaner)., and warm water. I had placed the machine into our shower stall for easy filling and draining. I bypassed the filling hose and just put our shower head into the wash side, threw in four items and turned the timer. It's hard not to just stand there and be amazed as this cute little washer did it's thing. In a few minutes it was done so I drained it and filled it once more and let it run for a few minutes, drained again and threw half the items into the "dryer" (spinner). At first it had a hard time getting to its maximum spin speed so I stopped it and added the other items (soaking wet) put the plastic insert back in, closed the lid, twisted the timer and held the machine steady til it got up to maximum speed. No problem. When water stopped coming out of the drain hose I turned it off nd to my surprise the items were nearly dry and totally clean! Next I tried my husband's work shirts. You know those hi vis polyester stain suckers? 4 in and this time used some shampoo and cold water. They came out cleaner than they ever had using any of our regular washers! Freakishly clean! No smell like they usually have after washing! Had to run them a few times but not longer than it would take to wash them in a regular washer. Unbelievable. I immediately thought of all my handwashable garments that would benefit from this washer and even the dry clean only items I could use this washer for! In conclusion, the burnt smell had no adverse effects. I love the intimacy this washer gives you with your clothing. The only cons were a rusty screw we found under a sticker under the dryer lid but it just had some water caught in there. My husband checked the undercarriage and motor and found no other corrosion. We replaced that screw with a brass one. It may be a hassle for some to do so many small loads but I love my clothes so I don't mind and this washer does such a great job and saves on soap and drying time so it pays itself off in no time. It's a no brainer in my opinion!
Such a great machine

I bought this for my cabin. It's great!!!! I set it up on my deck and just used a bucket to fill as it was hot outside and didn't want to use it inside. I couldn't believe how great this worked. I would definitely recommend this machine for anyone who thinks it may not be worth it. I am so happy with this and it's nice and small and will fit into the cabin very nicely. Highly recommend
Absolutely worth it

I too was tired of dealing with laundromats. Bought this recently and I was pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways.

It's not complicated to set up; to begin, it's very light. Plug it in and the dials are pretty straightforward. Just know that if you have to drain it, the "Spin" function on the middle dial seems to allow you to do that, which is what I did not realize at first. A few things to note: The washer half holds a good amount but don't overfill it. The plastic piece/lid that comes with it is also incredibly important when spinning to dry clothes. Use it to keep the things beneath it evenly weighed down and flat or else it won't spin as fast as it's supposed to and thus may stay too wet. Not using it will also cause the machine to wobble dramatically. As others mentioned, it spins enough to wring out most of the moisture when done correctly but it is not a dryer.

This appliance works very well so far. I'm extremely happy with it and am glad to have finally made the move to get it. Very much worth every cent to not have to haul everything up and down flights of stairs then drive to a public venue and back.
Great little machine!

Bought this to avoid laundromats. I'm surprised at how sturdy it is!

First I washed a few things, wash clothes, underwear, socks. Aced it!

Next I tried two full sized bath towels. Absolutely dud it's job.

Finally, I tried a queen sized sheet. It washed it although agitating was difficult because it agitated by swirling water and it was hard to swirl with that much fabric, but it still did it! Spun it almost dry, too.

Queen sized sheet might be a little much on a regular basis, but it can handle quite a bit.

WATER USAGE:

You're gonna use between 1.5-3 gallons per cycle. You'll want to wash and then rinse, so it will be total if 3-5 gallons per wash. Make sure you have a 3.5+ gallon bucket to accommodate the draining water.

You'll need to place it on a low table or regular table for the cycle because it is gravity drain and the hose is short.

Overall, it works well. Just don't over fill it, put the plastic cover for the spinner on the inside on top of your clothes, and you'll be fine.

It's a solid machine and I'm glad I bought it!
