I was looking for a step ladder with a small spacing between steps, as arthritic knees and knee replacements do not allow a full bend of the knee. This is better but still a struggle. I will look for a handicap ladder.

I bought this ladder because I liked the idea of the handrails and the bigger steps. The older I get the more I worry that I'm going to fall and break something. This latter did not disappoint. I feel more comfortable now when I need to change a lightbulb. You can hang onto the side rails as you climb. The steps are wide and deep & you aren't trying to balance on a thin, narrow step. You can stand like you normally do and feel very secure.
Attaching the handrails was a bit of a chore until I realized I should start with the bottom screw to get it started & then do the top screw. That worked out very well. It is a bit heavier than I would like but the handrails more than make up for that inconvenience. Once I get to the point that I cannot pick it up, I will simply walk it to where it needs to go. I like items like this that are made for older folks so we can maintain our independence longer.

I have to be very careful going up or down because of the angle and placement of steps so close together. Overall quality is good. Very easy to fold up or setup. Love having the hand rails for added safety.

This is a great, sturdy ladder that is easy to use. As senior citizens there is always a fear of falling off a ladder. We use this ladder now for most everything around the house. We have used it for decorating the Christmas tree, replacing light bulbs, and all other things that require a ladder. It is wonderful having peace of mind when stretching to reach without the fear of falling and hurting ourselves.
