I've been searching for months for a perfect vacuum that's small enough for my apartment (storage is limited) that's also powerful enough because I have shag carpeting. I came across this vacuum and I am not disappointed! The picture is just from my bedroom. I am happy with how light weight it is but powerful too. It's easy to assemble and has powerful suction with that annoying getting stuck to the carpet feeling. I highly recommend this for anyone who has an apartment. It works great on my laminate floors as well!

OTOH.... Yes, as you have read... the hose is inconveniently pretty darn short... the saving grace here is that the whole vacuum is very light and easy to pick up to get the access you need. The only other negative is that the vacuum is very noisy and here, the suction/pick up power is so good you will overlook it probably.

The positives far outweigh the negatives here FAR outweigh and thus all the high ratings. An easy and definite would buy again.

Setup took less than 3minutes. No instructions needed. Worked when turned on, and pulled an absolute ton of debris from the rug we had. We had been vacuuming with another old Dyson, but clearly this old Dyson doesn't hold a candle to this new Bissell. Way cheaper than other name brands, and works very, very well. I was surprised how small the actual vacuum was, but it is a "compact". Works great. Not as pretty and the fit/finish is clearly cheaper. But it works really, really well.
