We recently had our master BR closets redone, and had shelves way up high, to store empty suitcases and seldom-used items. We didn't want a heavy wooden ladder because we'd have to store it elsewhere. This stepladder is perfect! Very lightweight, but allows us to reach those high places when we need to. And it folds flat, to store upright, hardly taking any space at all.

Did I want a 5 step ladder with the 6th being a tool holder or a true 6 step?
I'm not on ladders much but I did want a ladder that is light weight and easy to move around. I'm getting rid of my super heavy "professional" grade ladders as they are so cumbersome.
I looked at the 5 step plus the 1 being a tool/parts holder. The 5 plus 1 was about 5 lbs. heavier. This 6 step is super light weight exactly what I wanted. Do I think I would ever stand on the 6th step? No. I don't know anyone that would stand on the very top of any ladder. But with that being said it does allow the top step to be used as a tool/parts holder but 5 lbs lighter.
For me, it's a game changer. No more stretching and reaching for things. This ladder easily brings me up to what I need to reach.
If you're needing to use a ladder a lot and you are in need of a heavy duty ladder, I would get a heavier gauge ladder. This ladder is for a homeowner who needs an occasional ladder to do chores around the house or outside. Perfect for my needs.

I love how this step stool folds up easily and is so slim, it takes up so little space. I can reach the top shelf in every room in my house. I keep it in the pantry where it gets the most use as I have shelving all the way to the top of my 10 ft ceilings.
