I purchased this item to use as a way to have the smell of a candle without an open flame. It works amazingly well! It heats up quickly, it's warm to the touch around the edges if you need to move it. It is HOT on top so be careful there. I can imagine this winter when I need a warm beverage it will be really nice to keep the drink hot as long as I want it to be.

I gave these along with either a candle or a mug for Christmas presents to family and friends. They were a hit!!! Everyone has come back and said how much they love using them with their candles, rather than having the candle burn and soot from the wick being in the air or creating marks under their cabinets. The two that are using theirs at work on their desk for their coffee have bragged and had others ask where they got them. I will be buying them again... I also have one on my kitchen counter for candle use.
