These work very well

I have security cameras up on a detached garage. When I installed the camera originally 15 years ago I buried the cables. When those cameras died 5-6 years later it was winter and digging in frozen ground to run new cables wasn't practical. I purchased a pair of Ubiquiti NanoStations and set them up as a wireless bridge. About three months ago one of the NanoStations died. Modern Ubiquiti NanoStations provide way more features then a simple wireless bridge needs. Therefore when I ran across this cheaper wireless bridge I decided to give it a try.

Physical setup was easy enough especially since I was replacing a similar product. I did not like the fact the POE injector was connected to the wall plug itself. That presented a small issue outside with the way the cables were run and where the actual plug was located. That was resolved for now by using the old POE injector outside. I used the new one indoors as it wasn't as big an issue there. I included a picture of the plug.

Setting up the wireless bridge proved a little more difficult then anticipated. I originally was going to make a video of my setup, but it took three days (maybe 9-10 hours of researching and trial and error) to get it configured correctly (on my desk, I wasn't going to install it until it was setup and working). Plus the amount of sensitive info the video showed about how my network was setup that I'd have to edit out. It frankly would be too much work to edit all the videos down to the relevant 5-10 minutes and have it make sense. This is where Ubiquiti really shines I have to say. The setup isn't any less complicated, but they have tools and videos this brand lacked making the process much easier.

Overall it is setup and working. I have no major concerns with security. Plus I got the speeds expected over the bridge. They are setup about 150 feet apart with trees blocking line of sight, and I get with speedtest 77.83 Mbps down and 78.50 Mbps up with a 13 ms ping. I have fiber 1 gig up and down that averages about a 2 ms ping, so on the far end of this bridge without great line of sight those speeds are very good in my opinion. More then enough for my needs. I haven't tested them further then the roughly 150 feet they are setup, so I can't speak to the advertised 4km range. I also didn't test the speeds when setup on my desk which I assume would get closer to the 300 Mbps they are advertised for. Finally as I'm writing this review it is well below zero outside with snow. The bridge is showing feeds from the cameras just fine meaning they are weatherproof enough again for my needs. Now hopefully they will last me another ten plus years just as the old NanoStations did.
Worked great first time installing - easy to program and transmitted through thick overgrowth

I ordered this to install it so that I could have a good connection to some wireless cameras over 100 feet away from my house that happen to be through some thick woods. This has been great and increased my speed to 100 Mbps from about 5 Mbps (if I got a lucky beam from my router).

This installed relatively easy. The instructions are pretty small but basically if you are using two units you put the one on your main router to A (switch on bottom) and the other one to B. Plug it into the provided POE plug in units (these are not waterproof) and then plug the LAN cable from the plug in unit into your router/switch.

I installed the remote unit onto another older wireless router that I have that I put into AP mode and it works great. I am getting over 90 Mbps down and 41 Mbps (that is the max upload for my main unit). There is some loss there as I get about 400 next to the router inside via wireless but I am just impressed that it is going through 100 feet of tree cover. I can't even see the other unit when I am next to either one.

There is only a short cord provided for I assume between the power POE switch and your router but I just ran my own CAT5/6 cable and put ends on it to the bridges themselves.

The manufacturer says these can go 4km and I am not sure about that but I know they can operate through thick growth for a short distance so I might get some more in the future to see how far they can go in the open.

Overall, these have been great for me. I can now watch my two wireless cameras on my main security unit without any glitches or pauses and can continue to get fast internet down by one of my barns. I highly recommend these.
Working well...wireless link

Provides a consistent, high output wireless connection. Used between my house and free-standing garage to provide connection to TP-Link MIMO router
Fast easy setup.

Turn on the units and they sync up and start working.

I'm using this to connect the internet to my detached garage for smarthome items.
Good way to get internet to outbuildings but instructions could be a lot better.
Craig Brubaker✓ Verified PurchaseJune 22, 2023
This bridge is how I will get internet access to a barn for security cameras, without having to run ethernet. A run that long of ethernet would require a booster, and burial grade cable or conduit. Wireless bridging is the answer. One of these on the house and one on the barn, and the outbuilding will be on the home wifi network.
Setup can be tricky if you are not using default settings, as there is NO explanation in the manual. Getting the most out of its features and functions will be difficult if you are not familiar with these (I am not). The nicgiga.com website is a joke, this product is not even featured on it, all they really show is PoE switches.

Fortunately I know someone who sets things like this up for a living and I will be able to get help to really get this thing set up properly. For now I simply paired it just to make sure they actually work. Final install and setup will be on hold for the expert.

Weatherproofing: Hmmm, I would say these will TOLERATE outdoor conditions, under a cover. I certainly would not put them out where they will be exposed to rain, or harsh sunlight. It says they are outdoor, but that just means they are for outdoor use. There is no way these are exposure rated the way they are made. Mine will be fine but if you are installing in the open I would suggest putting it in a waterproof box.
