The drum is good and as descrbed...personally great for practice yet does not spring back like a regular drum...what I mean is does not spring back when you hit it making it hard to do rolls.

Good, cheap practice pad setup. Although I dont care for the cheaper feel of the case I do like that it came with a carrying case.

I ordered the green version. Color is great. Green side has great rebound and feel. Very quiet and roomy with a 12" surface.
Bottom side (black) has just ever so slightly tougher rebound, so I use it for muscle development and weak hand chop building.
The case is a wonderful addition, and it even has an inner pocket for sticks that I didn't notice in the original order picture. Zippers could be better quality for sure but they work just fine. As little as I may use the case they should hold up ok for a long while. You do have to break the stand down to store it in the bag but it's simple enough.
The stand is not pro quality (hence the price), but it makes a great practice pad stand and/or backup stand. If you're looking to hold up some 1200 snare drums or something you could, but you might worry about the security of the winged height adjustment nut. However, I was bold and I have used it for my RAV vast handpan ($1000 drum), and it holds the weight of this large steel drum without issue.
Overall great feel and price. Evans is nice but this works just as well for my needs.
