I got this for my autistic son who is a sensory seeker. He always did well with a weighted vest or lap pad when he was younger and in occupational therapy but since we haven't been in it in awhile he can have some issues focusing or calming and self soothing himself. This vest is nice because it comes with removable weights so as he gets bigger I can add more weight to it. He is tall and skinny but should be able to wear this for awhile as it is on the wider side for him. It is very easy to put on and take off. I like that depending on the situation we can add more or less weight. It is very nice and has helped him immensely.

I ordered this for my daughter. She 11 years old and an anxious sleeper. She likes to sleep in this vest a couple of times a week. The compression vest is comfortable to wear and does seem to help calming anxious or excited kids. I was skeptical, but it works. I'm noticing a lot fewer meltdowns. Plus they think it's just cool to wear and imitate the weighted vests grown-ups use when exercising.
The stitching is well-made and the vest fastens using velcro closures, which can be adjusted to size.
You can remove the little sandbags to reduce the weight of the vest as needed. The fabric is breathable so won't get too hot when worn in the summer months.
