I originally bought this for my ailing Husband, but I like it so much better than My old Tripod cane, it is now mine..much more stability than a Tripod, and I like the additional "arm" getting out of car...I may hve to order Him another ...I would recommend this cane to those unsteady on their feet..

I will be using a cane for the rest of my life, so why not have a PURPLE cane??!! I have had my original cane for over eight years. It's black, heavy, bulky and beat up. This cane is bright and very lightweight. The base is a little smaller then what I'm used to hence the 4 stars. I have not had the opportunity to use the handle for the extra help up, but I'm sure,if necessary it will be of great help. In looking for a new cane with the requirement of being purple and 4 pronged I found this to be priced very reasonable. I feel a little less handicapped and self conscience.
This is exactly what we wanted for a friend with balance issues.

I bought this cane for an elderly friend who has balance problems and feels dependent on her walker to get around. While a walker is helpful, it's also bulky, heavy and not easily portable in some situations.
This cane comes with a wonderful handle that swings down (open) to help a person get up off a chair or out of the car. Five stars for that innovation - it's one of the things that influenced my purchase. It's also light enough in weight to make it easy for her to use, but definitely strong and stable enough to give her the confidence to walk without her walker. She loves it.
The confidence to walk using the cane instead of (or take along with/) her walker is a huge step forward (no pun intended) for this lovely lady and opens more opportunities for her to go more places and live her life more fully.

Bought this for my father who is unsteady on his feet but said he didn't need a cane. Now he never leaves without this. It's extremely sturdy and the collapsible bar beside the handle helps steady him as he stands up. It's well balanced but light. Great value.
