I got these in case of emergency. I have added them to the 72 hour bug-out bag. The main things that makes them bug-out bag material is 1) the reflective layer that makes them warmer, 2) the hunters orange color of the outer layer. I bought two boxes so there are more than enough for the family. I recommend this for your families 72 hour bug-out bag. These are thicker and take a little more room, but they are worth it.

This poncho is a big upgrade from the usual thin and flimsy plastic emergency poncho. Its larger size, heavy weight and ability to contain body heat is just what you need. I was checking my emergency preparedness supplies in my truck and came to the conclusion that I needed to upgrade some of those supplies from the bare minimum to something that would serve me best if I really needed it. The rain poncho I had in my kit was the first thing I noted that needed to be upgrades. I bought four of these ponchos as my upgrade and I am glad I did. After they arrived I opened the package to find something that If I ever need this poncho, it will serve me well. I may get some more for family and friends.
