I installed this in the attic space, cut the hole, applied sealant and screwed in place. Plug it in and set temp and humidity and walk away. I hope this really helps as temps are starting to climb and the attic gets very hot.
Used for Venting a Shed's Gable

Although this fan is advertised for venting crawl spaces, I had another application for it. Our home does not have a crawl space, but we do have a steel shed where my workshop is located and where we store lawn care and other large items. Our shed's gable vent was ideal for installing this ventilation fan.
Using just four self-tapping screws, I was able to mount this fan over our shed's existing gable vent (as you can see in my accompanying photo) and plug it into an existing outlet on the wall below. With a piece of rusty steel plate, which I happened to have on hand, I was able to cover the gap below the fan for an airtight seal. The rusty steel plate is not nearly as pretty as the fan, but it does the job in my SHED where beauty does not matter much.
This fan is moderately noisy but appears to be able to move enough hot air to exhaust accumulations of it from the shed's gable. As we get past Winter and I need to have more ventilation as outside temperatures increase, I'll be able to make a better judgment of its durability. So far, so good.
