I am just starting to get in to golf so getting training aides that can help me improve my skills when I have some spare time at home to do a little practicing so I don't look so bad in front of my friends and colleagues. Maybe with practice they will use some of my best balls when we play best ball.

I recently bought the WhyGolf Pressure Plate again, because I gave my previous one to a friend who was having difficulty feeling how and when to shift pressure during the golf swing. The Pressure Plate teaches you that. You can use this training aid without a club, with a club, and even with a club while hitting balls. The Pressure Plate is well made, sturdy, and will stand up to frequent use. I swear by it.

I was going through a period of yips and I knew it was related to my weight shift and lower body action. While I was skeptical at first, I must say this device has absolutely helped get me back on track. The immediate feedback you get helps you really understand when you're doing it right, and when you're doing it wrong. I would even recommend using it without hitting a ball and just using it to help lock in the feel with practice swings. I've found that to be a great little exercise in my office whenever the mood strikes.
