This plate was super easy to install and just as described. It turns on automatically when it's dark and off in daylight. It is a nice soft light and really lights the way for safety . I plan on ordering more and giving as gifts.

I originally ordered four outlet covers with the following description...

"4 Pack - SnapPower GuideLight 2 for Outlets [New Version - LED Light Bar] - Night Light - Electrical Outlet Wall Plate With LED Night Lights - Automatic On/Off Sensor - (Duplex, White)"

The outlet covers came before the promised delivery date and have a very neat feature that was not in the description. They have an on/off switch where you can shut them off or set them to medium or high brightness levels. They were very easy to install and look incredible. So much so that I wanted six more.

So I go back to Amazon to order some more. The original four pack that I bought was out of stock, plus I would need to order another two pack. So I start looking for alternative package options and found that the two pack package were in stock with the following description...

"2 Pack - SnapPower GuideLight 2 for Outlets [New Version - LED Light Bar] - Night Light - Electrical Outlet Wall Plate With LED Night Lights - Automatic On/Off Sensor - (Duplex, White)"

The 2 Pack packages were a bit more (like $0.80), but I wanted them and didn't want to wait on restocking so I order three packages. I ordered them on Monday, 12/23 and the promised delivery date was Saturday, 12/28. To my shock I received them Tuesday, 12/14. A nice surprise, indeed.

So, the next day I go to install them and the six new outlet covers do not have the on/off switch, they just have the auto sensor. I go back and reread the product descriptions, both the header descriptions and bulleted descriptions, for both orders. The product descriptions are the same, but they are not the same product -- close but not exact.

I took care in reading the product descriptions to make sure that I got what I originally ordered and have to admit I'm a bit bummed that the new ones don't have the on/off switch. Granted these things are not cheap, but I figured I could put them in places that get a lot of light to minimize the need for the switch. If you are not willing to do something like this, then you may want to contact the seller before pulling the trigger or be willing to send them back.

We do love the product, but are a bit disappointed with the inconsistencies in the products and their descriptions.

And for the record, the first four that we received were the "GuideLight 2 Plus". I would recommend both versions that I have, but would steer others to the "Plus", the switch is a very cool feature.

This is so cool and exactly what was needed. As someone who frequents the restroom in the middle of the night, I do not want to turn on the big light which will wake my husband. This outlet provides just enough light to allow me to safely use the restroom without bumping into anything or disturbing anyone. Will purchase more!

These are so cool. Why haven't I seen these before! I bought one to begin with, installed in a dark hallway, and it works great. So I bought 10 more and installed them wherever I had night lights. These shine light to the bottom of the outlet, they do the job, but I wish I would've bought the ones with the night light in between the outlets so the light would shine outwards instead of just down. They are still very nice since you get back an outlet where otherwise you would've have a night light plugged in.
