I use a Roku streaming device and was previously using their app to use headphones with my TV. Unfortunately their app kept cutting out at random times, and so with it the audio. It was so annoying! Now that I have this connected directly to my TV I can just turn on my headphones and watch without problems. The only thing "wrong" is I've noticed that it sets my headphones automatically at the highest volume every time I turn them on, so I have to turn them down every time. There is a little bit of a learning curve with connecting my headphones to the AirPlay device, but I figured it out. Overall this has been a great purchase, and I'm happy with it. I also like that I can charge the device while watching.
Enables a MUCH better experience than airplane headsets! Too laggy for a musical instrument.

This bluetooth transmitter for wireless headsets works great for what it's intended for. I travel to Ireland frequently on Aer Lingus and this wireless transmitter plugs right in to the 3.5mm audio jack on the entertainment console. Once paired with my Apple AirPods Pro (2), I can turn on noise cancelling and get a great and comfortable audio experience. I notice a tiny bit of lag between what I see on the screen when actors are talking and when I hear the audio...but it's minimal enough to not be annoying. After a while, you stop noticing.
That's not the case when I tried to use this to connect my AirPods to my bass guitar amp so I could play along silently ...the lag is quite noticeable between when I pluck the string and when I hear the audio. But this device is not intended for that purpose, I was just hoping!
I recommend the Twelve South AirFly SE, Premium Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter for AirPods and I'm going to purchase another one of these to give as a gift to another frequent traveler.

I just received this today. I immediately took it out and went to work. I have a stereo receiver which has no bluetooth. I had an RCA phono plug, with a female 3.5" port. I plugged the cable into my phono plug, plugged the phono plug into the phono port on the receiver, and powered the unit on. it surprised me by IMMEDIATELY connecting to my bluetooth headphone. In was a totally seamless operation and provided me with sound from my receiver at a good volume. I have now turned my home movie receiver into a bluetooth unit. I can now watch my movies/football games, while moving around freely, if needed. Call me very happy!

It works the way I fully expected. I bought this to use primarily with my TV "“ to not disturb anyone in the house when I want to crank up a movie. Pairing to my AirPod Pro worked instantly, and when plugged into my TV, I have full control over the volume. I had a similar device previously that didn't work with the TV volume so anything I watched was low volume. I read a few negative reviews before purchasing the device, and I've had none of the issue others have had.

I set these up with a pair of bluetooth earbuds I have and it worked just fine. Sound is just ok though that might also be a function of the earbuds I'm using.
Pairing was a bit of a mystery but I just turned the AirFly on and then pulled the buds out of their charger and put them on and ... it worked. You gotta love it when stuff just works.
