The trigger is so sensitive that if the cage rattles the door drops with nothing inside it. Otherwise, it is effective.

At first I was disappointed with the success rate of this trap. After researching reviews I found I was arming the trap incorrectly. The only instructions for the trap are printed on the box. Mine were unreadable and illegible . The instructions need to be clearly printed and paced inside the box included with the trap. Since arming it correctly I have caught 2 chipmunks and a grey squirrel. I now believe the trap is a success.

bought for squirrels, but they could not even fit in it. The trap door was too low in the door opening, making it impossible for the squirrels to get inside. They kept tipping it over before getting inside.

This might work as a great relocation tool for various wild creatures that seem to like fresh fruit and vegetables as much as I do. Just saying. Very sensitive trigger. A tad small but it works!
Not very effective for me and really hard to set the arm to the trap door.
