It is hard to use when you have somewhat weakness in your hand, it didn't release until I had to add WD-40, but then the post would get oily and if you're to use it on your furniture, it would transfer to it.

While remodeling 3 rooms, they were very helpful to lift furniture to place sliders underneath. I would buy them again. Just be advised to not raise anything higher than needed. When released, they fall instantly. Nothing to slow or cushion the fall. Probably can't be done for this price, but something to be aware of.

I recently refaced my kitchen cabinets .
I placed the cabinet doors on the jack stands while I plummed and leveled doors.
I drilled pilot holes to fasten hinges to face frame. The stands allowed me to have use of both hands while doing all the above mentioned activities.
Absolutely recommend.

I'm pretty happy with these! I've used them to level my whole house backup generator, which sits on a thick concrete pad outside. It tilted due to the ground settling. Easily jacked it up with these to make it level, and got gravel underneath the pad and lowered it again, all by myself. Then I used it to level my dryer, fix a leg on a big piece of furniture and raise a heavy door to align it with the hinge pins. Very useful to have around! Love "˜em!

The concept is great. We put chased to move a queen size bed and dresser. The one lift was not able to stay up without the other one. And it was not a lot of weight at the time. They hit the job done, but would be nice if both worked as they should.
