I've been using this unit for some time in both macOS and Windows machines, and while it seems like a solid unit and well designed overall it has some issues.
The buttons are a bit squishy (but same as other stream decks). I wish these were upgraded to feel a bit more premium. The rest of the unit feels a lot better. The volume like buttons are well built and provide nice feedback for small adjustments. The touch screen seems to work great and allows fast navigation between pages, allowing me to do things faster.

Giving 4 stars mainly because of the squishy buttons and some times when connecting the unit it shows everything (buttons and touch screen) black and only shows icons when I press the buttons. It seems to be related with software issue, but it happens a lot and I need to open stream deck software for it to "refresh". Hopefully it will be addressed with a software update.
The plugins for the software also don't seem to be prepared for these kind of units, so I'm looking forward for those to be updated hopefully soon.

I must emphasize that the Elgato Stream Deck+ is not just for streamers. I personally use it for various tasks, including volume control, productivity, and even gaming. It's a versatile powerhouse that caters to a wide range of needs.

It's an Elgato, what's not to like? You can do anything with this thing. You can control all aspects of streaming, video editing and audio editing. The world is your oyster. I use it to control Audacity, Davinci, OBS and Discord. I can open all manner of programs and control their audio with the dials. I can stack commands. I can make pretty thumbnails, JPEG & Gif. I can control all of my audio through Wavelink; which is included. I also have the Wave XLR hooked up to an RE20. Even though I can control gain etc through the Wave XLR, when things get crazy I can move to the SD+ and do the same...all control is at the tip of your fingers. It's worth every penny, no matter if you get it on sale or not. Shipping was quick, packaging excellent and Elgato's customer service is stellar...at least in my experience. I currently have 2 of these on two different computers, along with a SD XL, 2 15 button SDs, 2 Key Lights, a mic arm, 2 Elgato Facecams and a Wave3...and all manner of mounting solutions from Elgato. When it isn't broke, why fix it...this stuff just works, constantly.

This thing is an engineering masterpiece! The quality material, software, value, and endless productivity options make this thing invaluable for any creative person. heck even for other avenues than creative use. Just get it. dont hesitate. It's priceless!

First of course is the Stream Deck functionality of course. Programmable Macro Buttons for pretty much anything. 8 buttons seem not enough? Simply swipe the LCD screen and you have 8 more buttons!
