The media could not be loaded. The Oscillating stand fan came just as advertised.
IN THE VIDEO
*You can hear a weird sound like wind blowing. When the video is off I don't hear it.
This thing is so sturdy. The base is really heavy. I can barely move it. I think it would be tough to knock it over. It is very well centered. There are no weird sounds* or motions as there are with some other stand fans.
This fan has an 18" circumference. There are 5 sleek plastic blades and three fan speeds. The control panel is located beneath the blade housing. It requires manual control. There is no remote included. The fan is pretty basic. The power off button, level one fan speed which also turns the fan on, level two fan speed and level three fan speed. On the top of the fan is the oscillation button. The fan can be adjusted for height and tilt. You should be able to get comfortable with this. It provides a cool steady uninterrupted air flow.
I use my fan 24/7 and therefore have to replace them from time to time. I use it as a white noise device. I much prefer the sound of the fan than any other noises at night. The fan just kind of overrides the other noises.
I am very happy to have this fan and I recommend it to you!

Moves a lot of air, quietly (but needs one quick dab of glue to future-proof it).

For airflow, this is the best pedestal fan I've tried. It moves quite a bit of air on the fastest setting without it getting into "excessively windy" range. Despite this, it is suprisingly quiet, much more so than my box fax, or even the (junk) vertical tower fan I tried.
However, it has one, non-serious flaw. The plastic "Part E, Rear Grill Mounting Nut", cannot really be tightend very much (or you'll strip it), and it consequently works its way loose very quickly. Happened to me in less than 24 hours, with the result that the grill "cage" came loose and came noisily into contact with the fan. Fortunately didn't do any damage.
The 5-minute fix was to take it partially apart and glue this "Mounting Nut" into place. There's never going to be a reason to remove it, so there's no reason not to. Just do that as you're putting it together.
If not for that issue, I would have given this 5 stars, as a clearly superior fan to many of the competitors (or any shape or size). I'm really happy with it.
PS: As some others have noted, the "Part C, Blade Cap" is not threaded in the standard "lefty-loosey, righty-tighty" manner, but has to be screwed on backwards. This is actually smart; it's so that it cannot work itself loose in the course of the fan spinning clockwise. They should have done this also with Part E.

Great quality for the price

I just assembled this fan tonight and for first impressions, it's great! The remote is very convenient. And the fan is very stylish, sounds great, and is fairly powerful. While it took about 10-20 minutes to assemble, the direction were pretty simple to follow. Overall, I really like this fan and hope it lasts a while!
Exactly what I needed.

I love this fan and have used it pretty much every single night since I got it. It is so quiet I never hear it running. And it is awesome with the amount of air it circulates around. I actually got this to replace the air flow I am no longer getting from a ceiling fan. I let someone else install the ceiling fan a long time ago that I wish I had not done, because I have installed these myself and did it right the first time. Since this person who should have known what they were doing, but obviously did not. They pressed on the movable part of the fan to check for sturdiness instead of the actual part the actually holds the weight of the fan from the ceiling. This was a small inexpensive ceiling fan mind you. But after only a couple of years it is already not putting out enough air to even feel it. And because it was not properly installed, if you turn it on high speed it rattles and makes to much noise for me. Just makes me angry to the point I will be having to remove it. In the meantime I decided to go back to old school and just get this stand up fan and I am so very glad I did. It is the perfect height, takes up very little space. And provides an incredibly good flow of air even at the lowest speed setting. The price was fair, I will mention these new installation instructions are not quite as good as they used to be. Maybe I am just getting old. But I have installed so many different things and put together so many things that good old fashioned common sense has gotten me through. So on your scale of 0 to 5 for that? I would give about a 3 rating. But, still it was not that difficult and actually I found a you tube video that confirmed the placement of the bottom of the stand. I was also missing one screw to attach the bottom but I am getting by without it. I almost messaged the seller to send me another one, but didn't want to bother with it. It seems to be holding up just fine. It is not heavy anyway, but am listing here just so the buyer will know. You don't have to do anything to make up for it. I just thank you that the fan works wonderfully, it is so nice and quiet and overall I am very happy with it. Thank you again so much and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good fan, especially with the heat of summer right around the corner. Thanks again.
Tilt feature unstable.

I really like this fan.The only problem with the fan is the tilt feature I.Tilt it down and the next morning is tilt right back up.So I don't know what the problem is but other than that I like the fan. Soooo I tied a piece of strind to the bottom of the fan cover and anchored it on the height adjustment knob.
