These no name made in China knives represent a decent value for a starter set. Contains your basic knives to perform most tasks in the kitchen for the aspiring chef. They are nice looking and sharp. However, the handles are slippery and the knives are light and not well balanced. They are not very ergonomic. They come in a nice gift worth box. I would not call these "professional" as stated by the manufacturer.

Finally I've got high quality knifes, After a year of trying to find sharp and good quality knifes for everyday cooking .

These knives are a step up from the cheapos we had in a drawer (the knives stores in the plastic sheath), which were not that sharp, even form the start). These knives are sharp, I used the Chef knife to cut onions in half for the grill and for general chopping. It worked well for that purpose.
I used the carving knife to slice meat (lamb), and it did a nice job, easy to use and easily slicing the meat. The utility knife was useful for slicing mushrooms and tomatoes, the tomatoes being the real test. The knife was great for slicing them without shredding or smushing them (you know, when the knife is not really sharp enough and it kind of presses on the tomato and presses some juice out). This knife cut through easily and no juice or tomato innards were lost.
The paring knife is great for slicing apples. I cut them into quarters, then cut out a little arc with the seeds, keeping as much of the apple intact as possible. The knife is sharp enough and small enough to do the job. The bread knife is great for slicing bagels or english muffins (which tend to crumble some when using a knife that is not sharp enough).
The set also includes a sharpener, which I have not needed yet. I really like the magnet , which I mounted on the kitchen wall. It is strong and holds the whole set, with no knives sliding once placed on it. I even put the sharpener on it, placing it handle-side up, and it is held firm as well (see my photo).
The instructions say to not use a dishwasher for them, so I put a sticky note on the magnetic holder to remind me.
For just under $70, these are a great buy and a lot cheaper than the high-end knives while (in my opinion) being just as sharp and useable.

Ordered the 7 piece knife set. This is a nice looking set that comes with a very strong wall magnet to hold all five knives and the sharpener. The knives are well balanced and the edges are very sharp, cutting vegetables and fruits along with raw chicken and different cuts of red meat. I am used to a wooden handle, but like the feel and performance of these blades

These knives are made of what appears to be 1 solid piece of metal with a hollow core handle. They come sharp and ready to use. Due to the hollow core handle they are a little blade heavy, though not so much as to be uncomfortable. They have a good non-slip feel and cut rather well. The magnetic strip is strong and holds the knives firmly in place. Overall not a bad buy.
