Seriously, how I ever made it this far in life without one of these steamers is beyond me. Now that I have it, I wouldn't trade it. I'm in my late 60's and cooking for myself only these days. And I happen to not like doing a lot of dishes after a meal. So, I use a deep skillet to cook the main portion of my meal, usually a meat of some kind, and when it is about half cooked, I put this little steamer basket in the skillet with whatever else is in there, fill it with veggies, put the lid on and steam away. The longer I have it, the more uses I find for it. Truly a good thing to have in the kitchen.

They should include instruction on how to open it. I had to find a youtube video. The funny thing is that all you need to do to open it, is to put your finger in the hole at the top and pull it outwards.
