I honestly didn't expect too much out of this thing but figured I'd give it a shot. At the time of purchase it was $30 and I have definitely gotten my money's worth. No complaints with regard to sound, it's great. Better and louder than I honestly expected. I dont know how well it would do in a living room but for a medium sized bedroom it's perfect.

Call an independent reviewer down here in Largo florida. Needed a small soundbar for my mom's 32-in QLED in the living room. This little sound bar fit perfectly with the sound of a bar twice its size. I ordered the one without a subwoofer as she did not need it, but it produces enough low end frequency that she did not need it, (bar is ported). Remote control works fine, and for me, it's no big deal that I have to use it to control the bar, and and the only modern drawback I found was you just have to listen for the sound as there are no numbers or dots. No big deal. Volume wise, it's nearly as loud as my JBL that was almost 6 times the price. Used the optical connection and just changed one setting on the tv. It fired right up. I would definitely purchase again from this brand!

Well designed and fits my computer desk very well. However for $50 you get what you pay for. The sound quality is definitely good for the price but is not what you would get out of a more robust system that costs more money. So if you just need noise, this unit will work.

I got this for my 32" TV in the bedroom. I've been putting up with the TV speakers for years and wanted to do something, but couldn't see spending the money in anything decent.....it's just the bedroom. When this went on sale for prime day, I figured I'd give it a shot, especially with the good reviews it has. I have to say I'm impressed. It's not going to win any awards for fidelity, but I've been very happy with the sound and have zero regrets on this. Personally, I think it is worth it at the regular price. Keep in mind this is for a smaller room (15x15 probably). For that size, it is perfect! I got the subwoofer package. You'll want to note that the subwoofer is not powered. In this case, it is kind of a good thing. It means you can control the sub using a separate sub volume on the remote. For this use, I don't like I'm missing anything by not having a powered subwoofer. Also keep in mind that this means the "line out", which is actually the "sub out" is not line level. It would be at speaker level. I also don't know if there's a cross over in there, so I'd plan on just using that jack for the sub out. I ended up using an optical splitter to run from the TV to this device and a wireless headset and it worked great. There's no EQ on this thing other than the mode settings and the sub volume. You also can't control the volume with the TV remote. You have to use the separate remote. Again, for the price, I'm not complaining.
