Great sound for the price and a very responsive seller!

I'm updating my original review after having some serious crackling after a few days of use. It turned out there must have been some sort of interference introduced in my room that caused the crackling because after relocating the soundbar to another room it is working just fine. The soundbar with subwoofer is perfect for a smaller room and does sound great for the price! Seller also reached out extremely fast which I wasn't expecting but very much appreciated!
Sounds decent, but aux input doesn't work
Jason✓ Verified Purchase•September 9, 2023
Sound is overall good, bass is clumsy and muffled a bit. Bluetooth connection was easy, but couldn't get aux input to play music.
***UPDATE*** originally 2 stars
Saiyin reached out to me offering a full refund. I declined since the speakers still function as I need them to. It's nice to know a company stands behind their product enough to reach out to me and offer the refund. They did NOT ask me to change my review; I just want people to know this company takes steps to make sure customers are happy.

Love it! Also, I’ve solved 2 common problems with the sooundbar READ BELOW

For the price, this soundbar exceeds my expectations and is perfect for my bedroom! However, there's 2 main problems I've seen people complain about and so I have both the problems and solutions listed below. Hope it helps!
PROBLEM 1: You can't connect your soundbar to your Smart TV so that your TV is able to control the soundbar. Which means you'll have to use the soundbar's remote AND the SmartTV remote.
SOLUTION: You CAN control the soundbar with your Smart TV remote instead of the soundbar's remote. All you have to do is select the Meidong brand soundbar on your TV's list of soundbars and it should work. Worked for my FireTV!
FireTV STEPS (as of 11-29-2023): Go to Settings > Equipment Control > Add Equipment > soundbar > Select Meidong brand soundbar > Follow the prompt on screen > select whichever input you're using (AUX, Optical/TV Audio, Bluetooth) > You can now control your soundbar with your FireTV remote ;)
PROBLEM 2: The soundbar "hums/buzzes" when playing movies and shows on streaming platforms. I thought I had ordered a broken one at first. Noticed the issue while trying to watch a show on HBO Max. Doesn't buzz on YouTube or Twitch app, which is what confused me. Only on streaming platforms like HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, etc.
SOLUTION: Your TV's digital audio format is probably set to Auto by default. It buzzes on Auto, Passthrough, and Dolby Audio formats. Change that setting to PCM and the buzzing should stop.
FireTV STEPS (as of 11-29-2023): Go to settings > Display & Sounds > Audio Output > Digital Audio Format > Select PCM format > no more buzzing ;)

Surprising for the money

I got this for my 32" TV in the bedroom. I've been putting up with the TV speakers for years and wanted to do something, but couldn't see spending the money in anything decent.....it's just the bedroom. When this went on sale for prime day, I figured I'd give it a shot, especially with the good reviews it has. I have to say I'm impressed. It's not going to win any awards for fidelity, but I've been very happy with the sound and have zero regrets on this. Personally, I think it is worth it at the regular price. Keep in mind this is for a smaller room (15x15 probably). For that size, it is perfect! I got the subwoofer package. You'll want to note that the subwoofer is not powered. In this case, it is kind of a good thing. It means you can control the sub using a separate sub volume on the remote. For this use, I don't like I'm missing anything by not having a powered subwoofer. Also keep in mind that this means the "line out", which is actually the "sub out" is not line level. It would be at speaker level. I also don't know if there's a cross over in there, so I'd plan on just using that jack for the sub out. I ended up using an optical splitter to run from the TV to this device and a wireless headset and it worked great. There's no EQ on this thing other than the mode settings and the sub volume. You also can't control the volume with the TV remote. You have to use the separate remote. Again, for the price, I'm not complaining.
Good Sound Bar for the Price

I needed a small sound bar to boost the sound in my workout room. I use a 32" TV so I only needed a sound bar to match. I didn't need a 2 speaker system w/ a subwoofer. I needed something that's louder than the stock. This soundbar does just that. It's loud enough to be heard over any background noise without trying to drown out the background noise or competing with it. The sound is clear and crisp. It's small enough to be out of the way. Install and setup/connection is easy. The instructions are key to setting it up. I'm very happy with this purchase. It suits my needs perfectly. I don't know if (or how) it would be as a primary sound bar. For a small room set up (maybe for a kids playroom or workout room), it's a great low cost option.
