This gets really hot, so if you have more than a few sandwiches to make, I'd use a stove, as I'd be afraid of damaging the plastic components on this machine. It works well, and fast. Not all bread is created equal, However, so if you have artisan or freshly baked bread, these pockets are too small to accommodate larger slices of bread.
