Actually I didn't get this as a paper weight as intended. I got it as a pocket marker for billards. I have gotten so many people rave about it. I'm so happy to have a one of a kind conversation piece. I do believe it would be perfect as a paper weight (it does have some heft to it) and even as a conversation piece in an easy going office.
